Mercenary Companies and Adventuring Guilds of Mythea

Though kings command armies and guilds command wealth, much of Mythea's frontier is shaped by adventurers, mercenaries, explorers, and free companies.

Some seek fortune.

Some seek glory.

Some seek knowledge.

Others simply seek survival.

Their banners can be found on roads, battlefields, ruins, and distant frontiers throughout the continent.

Many become legends.

Most become stories.

"Fortune favors preparation."

The Silver Rangers

Headquarters: Sylvaran Covenant

Many maintain close relationships with the Garden Keepers.

Motto:

"The wild remembers."

Their reputation for reliability is nearly unmatched.

Motto:

"Every journey matters."

The Black Banner Brotherhood

Officially a mercenary company.

Unofficially much more complicated.

The Brotherhood accepts contracts most organizations refuse.

Many rulers employ them reluctantly.

Many rulers fear them openly.

Adventurers in Society

Most people admire adventurers.

Few wish to become them.

Adventurers willingly face:

Their successes inspire legends.

Their failures become warnings.

The Adventurer's Creed

Though no universal code exists, a saying is widely recognized among explorers throughout Mythea:

"Maps end. Stories begin."

For many adventurers, that simple belief is reason enough to continue chasing the next horizon.
