Description
The Expansion Era began as humanity reached beyond Earth in earnest. Permanent colonies flourished across Luna, Mars, the asteroid belt, and the outer planets, while fusion propulsion and autonomous manufacturing dramatically accelerated settlement efforts. Orbital shipyards, asteroid mining colonies, rotating habitats, and massive space elevators became commonplace throughout the Sol System. Advances in robotics allowed Androids and Synths to perform dangerous labor, while Clone populations fueled rapid colonization. Terraforming transformed once-hostile environments into thriving settlements, creating new cultures independent of Earth's influence. The first Interplanetary Trade Authority established standardized law, commerce, and navigation throughout human space. During this age, humanity believed its greatest challenge was expanding across the Solar System. That belief ended forever when miners on a distant asteroid uncovered ruins belonging to a civilization older than recorded history—the Precursors.
