The Kennelways are the Iron Dogs’ domain—a network of wide streets, collapsed highways, parking structures, and vehicle yards that cut through the Shatterreach like scars. This area was once built for traffic and logistics: arterial roads, service depots, and transit corridors meant to keep the city moving. After the collapse, it became the perfect hunting ground for a gang that lives by speed, noise, and shock violence.
Unlike much of the Shatterreach, the Kennelways feel open and exposed. Streets are broader, sightlines longer, and vertical cover scarcer. That’s intentional. The Dogs don’t hide. They want targets to see them coming—and panic.
The Kennelways are defined by:
Burnt-out cars welded into barricades
Scrap-plated roadblocks forming choke points
Oil slicks, scattered spikes, and caltrops
Floodlights powered by jury-rigged generators
Dog symbols spray-painted or carved into concrete
Engines idle constantly. Even at rest, the area hums, rattles, and growls.
The Motor Pit
A massive former parking structure converted into the Iron Dogs’ primary garage and headquarters. Vehicles are suspended from ramps, stripped, rebuilt, and armored. Fires burn on every level. The Alpha rules from here.
Killway Avenue
A long, straight boulevard intentionally kept clear of debris—except for concealed traps. Most executions and public punishments happen here. Outsiders are sometimes forced to walk it unarmed.
The Scrap Yards
Twisted metal fields where seized vehicles and machinery are dismantled. Slaves from the Gutter Saints often work here under Iron Dog supervision.
The Horn Gate
A massive barricade at the edge of their territory fitted with chained horns, alarms, and sirens. When breached or attacked, the sound carries across the Shatterreach.
The Iron Dogs maintain control through:
Constant mobile patrols
Rapid-response strike teams
Pre-sighted kill zones
Vehicle ambushes rather than static defense
They rarely fight fair—and never fight slow.
The Kennelways act as the Coalition’s pressure valve. When disputes escalate too far, the Dogs are unleashed. Their presence discourages large-scale rebellion and keeps traffic—legal or otherwise—flowing under their watch.
People say:
“Once you hear engines, you’re already surrounded.”
“The Kennelways don’t sleep.”
“The Dogs don’t guard roads. They own them.”
