Militech

Militech International Armaments

Origin: U.S. Military-industrial giant, founded in the late 20th century.

2077–2085: Consolidation

  • After the events of Cyberpunk 2077, Militech emerges as the dominant corporate superpower in the Americas.

  • With Arasaka banned from most U.S. operations and European corps weakened, Militech rebrands itself as “Defender of Liberty”—a state-corporation hybrid that provides private armies, law enforcement, and military-grade tech to governments and corps alike.

  • By the 2080s, Militech effectively becomes the American war machine, blurring the line between state and corp.

2090s: The Iron Law

  • By 2097, Militech rules Night City outright. The NCPD is a badge, but the real muscle is Militech Enforcement Divisions—urban pacifiers with smartguns and drone support.

  • They supply weapons, armor, and autonomous war-drones to half the globe, while field-testing the rest in Night City’s urban warzones.

  • In contrast to Helios Orbital’s luxury lunar dominance, Militech represents brutal terrestrial control.

  • Their motto has shifted to chilling efficiency:
    “Security is Sovereignty.”

Militech Specialties (2097):

  • Global Arms Monopoly: from street pistols to orbital rail cannons.

  • Military-Police Integration: they are the law in most megacities.

  • Mech & Drone Warfare: deploying next-gen autonomous combat platforms.

  • Neural Combat Rigs: soldiers linked to AI-commanders, making squads fight with machine precision.

Street Perspective:

  • “Militech doesn’t ask permission. They don’t need to.”

  • “You can beat a gang. You can’t beat an army that owns the streets.”
