The White Purge. Castus Vane is the leader of the Wyrmsbane Covenant and cousin to Draxos Vane of Aurum. A human man in his forties, he wears a bleached white cloak and a mask carved from dragon bone.

Castus truly believes he is saving the world. To him, draconic blood is pollution — a slow corruption of human destiny. The dragons are gone, but their eggs remain, leaking influence into the ley lines, into bloodlines, into libraries. He intends to cleanse it.

Present day. Castus does not hunt dragons. There are none left to hunt. He hunts their legacy. His covenant wields Ferrum-forged anti-dragon weapons, blades that drink heat and shatter scale. He burns libraries that preserve draconic rites, purges families with distant draconic ancestry, and seals vaults with salt and iron.

He is not a fanatic performing evil. He is a human-supremacist who believes mercy is what allowed the rot to spread.

Anyone who stands in his way — cousin or not — will be purged with the rest.
