Prince Caspian Vane

Prince Caspian Vane

Medium Humanoid (Human), Chaotic Good

“A crown is not permission. It is a debt.” — Prince Caspian Vane

The Heir. Prince Caspian Vane is the heir to the throne of Aurum City, and the only son of King Draxos Vane. He has grown to despise his father's cruel and prejudiced rule.

Witnessing firsthand the suffering caused by his father's racism and edicts, Caspian has dedicated himself to subtly dismantling the King's oppressive regime from within.

The Gilded Rebellion. In secret, Caspian is the leader of the Gilded Rebellion. What began as quiet acts of mercy — a warned family, a purse left at a door — has become an organized network of palace staff, guards who look away, and citizens tired of perfection. They move beneath the gold, undoing what the King gilds over.

He uses his position and influence to aid those most affected by his father's policies, often working in shadow to avoid his father's wrath.

Present Day. Outwardly obedient, inwardly rebellious. Caspian possesses a strong sense of justice and empathy which fuels his quiet defiance. He taps his fingers restlessly when in his father's presence, a subtle sign of inner turmoil. To those his father mistreats, he offers a silent, empathetic gaze — a promise that they are seen.

He does not want the throne for its gold. He wants it to end what it has become.
