Meito are the named, masterwork swords of the @Bluestar. They are legendary weapons forged by the greatest smiths in history, prized not only for their sharpness and durability but also for the reputation of those who wield them. The World Government, pirates, and even kings value these blades above gold, and many of them are counted among the most dangerous treasures in existence. All Meito fall into ranked classes: the Supreme Grade, which are the rarest and strongest of all swords; the Great Grade, powerful and refined in balance; and the Skillful Grade, well-crafted masterpieces in their own right. Beyond these, there are other fine blades known by name, though they do not fall into the three great classes.
At the top are the Supreme Grade Blades (Saijō Ō Wazamono), of which there are only twelve in the world. Among them is @Dracule Mihawk @Yoru, the Black Blade, the world’s strongest sword, and Whitebeard’s naginata Murakumogiri. These weapons are priceless, their worth impossible to measure in mere Berri, though the black market whispers that a single Supreme blade could fetch over half a billion. Their sharpness is unmatched, their steel unbreakable, and when wielded with Haki they can cut through mountains or fleets alike.
The next class is the Great Grade Blades (Ō Wazamono), of which there are twenty-one. @Roronoa Zoro @Shusui, once the national treasure of @Wano Country, and Kozuki Oden’s twin blades @Enma and Ame no Habakiri belong to this rank. These swords are near-mythical, and their estimated value would range in the hundreds of millions of Berri. They are balanced to perfection, feared for their ability to draw out the strength of their wielder or drain it away, as Enma is known to do.
Below them are the Skillful Grade Blades (Ryō Wazamono), numbered at fifty. Among these are Zoro’s Yubashiri, elegant yet deadly, and Wado Ichimonji, a blade whose purity of form makes it one of the most iconic swords in the seas. These blades could be sold for tens of millions of Berri, though most are kept within families or nations that would never part with them.
There are also named swords of unique power outside the formal classes. Kitetsu’s cursed blades—the Sandai, Nidai, and Shodai Kitetsu—are infamous, not only for their craftsmanship but for their curses. They bring terrible luck to their wielders, drawing them toward violent deaths. Yet their power makes them irresistible to swordsmen willing to gamble their fate. Cursed swords are often valued higher than their rank suggests, for they carry both risk and reward, and collectors covet them as much as warriors fear them.
In the world of @Bluestar, Meito are more than weapons. They are legends in steel, symbols of their wielders’ will, and sometimes cursed companions that decide the fate of battles. Their worth cannot be measured in coin alone, for to hold one is to hold a piece of history, and to swing one is to carve a new legend into the seas.
