The Blackbeard Pirates are a crew born of betrayal and ambition, led by the enigmatic and ruthless Marshall D. Teach, known as Blackbeard. Unlike most pirate crews, they are not bound by camaraderie or dreams of freedom, but by cold opportunity and the promise of power.
They are not yet infamous at the time of the Straw Hats’ journey into the Grand Line — but in whispers and fate, they are already the darkness that will one day swallow the seas.
Their future leader is Blackbeard, the Man of Darkness.
The Blackbeard Pirates live by one rule:
The Strong Take What They Desire.
Teach’s creed is simple: wait, seize, and strike when the time is right. Patience and treachery are his weapons, ambition his compass.
The structure is loose but ruthless:
Blackbeard – Captain, wielder of the Darkness-Darkness Fruit.
Officers – Recruited from prisons, battlefields, and betrayals, each a monster in their own right.
Crewmen – Opportunists and killers, serving only as long as profit demands.
At this stage, the crew has only just begun, but destiny will forge them into nightmares:
Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard) – Captain, schemer, bearer of the Will of D.
Jesus Burgess – Helmsman, brutal brawler known as “Champion.”
Van Augur – Sniper, cold and calculating.
Laffitte – Navigator, hypnotist, and diplomat of shadows.
Doc Q – Sickly doctor, riding his dying horse Stronger.
Future Members – Recruits from Impel Down and other prisons will one day swell their ranks into an army of chaos.
At Twin Cape, the Blackbeard Pirates are still a phantom crew — but they are destined for domination:
Grand Line (Shadows) – Rumors of Teach’s treachery begin to stir.
Future Conquests – The capture of Whitebeard’s territories, turning protectorates into dens of fear.
Dark Fleet – Allied ships bound not by loyalty, but by dread and greed.
The Blackbeard Pirates have no noble codes — only ambition:
Patience Before Power – Teach waits years for his fruit, striking only when destiny calls.
No Loyalty but Strength – Betrayal is expected, survival is proof of worth.
The Darkness Oath – In darkness, all ambition is equal.
