The Revolutionary Army

The Revolutionary Army is a global insurgency movement dedicated to overthrowing the World Government and dismantling its oppressive system. They do not plunder, nor do they conquer — they liberate.

To the oppressed, they are saviors.
To the kings of the world, they are heretics.
To the World Government, they are the greatest threat alive.

Their leader is Monkey D. Dragon, the World’s Worst Criminal.

Philosophy & Structure

The Revolutionary Army is bound by three guiding principles:

  • Freedom from Tyranny – No man, kingdom, or people should kneel to the Celestial Dragons.

  • Justice Without Chains – Justice is not law, but liberation.

  • The Dawn of a New World – The old order must burn so a new one can rise.

Their structure is secretive and cell-based:

  • Supreme Commander – Monkey D. Dragon.

  • Chief of Staff – Sabo, Dragon’s right hand (foreshadowed).

  • Army Commanders – Leaders of divisions, each commanding fronts across the seas.

  • Cells & Agents – Operatives embedded in kingdoms, stirring rebellion from within.

Members & Factions Within

Though vast, the Revolutionary Army’s most prominent figures include:

  • Dragon – Leader, enigmatic, bearer of the “Will of D.”

  • Ivankov – Queen of Kamabakka Kingdom, master of Horm-Horm Fruit.

  • Sabo – Chief of Staff (later revealed), wielder of the Flame-Flame Fruit.

  • Karasu, Morley, Lindbergh, Belo Betty – Division commanders across the seas.

  • Koala – Former slave, now instructor of Fish-Man Karate.

Territory & Influence

The Army has no open nation, but its reach is global:

  • Baltigo – Their hidden headquarters, shrouded in secrecy.

  • Liberated Islands – Nations freed from tyrants and kings, seeds of revolution planted.

  • Shadow Cells – Agents hidden in courts, ports, and even Marine branches.

Codes & Traditions

The Revolutionaries live by discipline and sacrifice:

  • The Oath of the Dawn – Every recruit swears to fight until the world is freed.

  • The Fire of Freedom – Symbolic bonfires lit after victories, marking liberation.

  • The Mask of Secrecy – Operatives live in shadows, sometimes for decades, awaiting their signal.

Symbols & Customs

  • Symbol: The Dragon’s crest — a burning sun breaking through chains.

  • Colors: Red and black.

  • Customs: Secret hand signs, liberation feasts with freed villagers, and coded “songs of freedom” spread across ports.

  • Sayings: “The world is waiting for dawn.” / “Better to die free than live chained.”

Allies & Enemies

  • Allies: Freed peoples, sympathetic kingdoms, and pirate crews who share their ideals (rare).

  • Enemies: The World Government, Celestial Dragons, Cipher Pol, and Marine Admirals.

  • Neutral: Yonko crews, though some (like Dragon’s son, Luffy) are destined to intersect with their cause.

Sayings of the Revolutionary Army

  • “The world must burn before dawn.”

  • “No king rules forever.”

  • “Freedom is the only true justice.”

The Revolutionary Army is not a pirate crew, not a kingdom, not even a nation. They are the storm gathering beneath the surface, the fire in the hearts of the oppressed, and the blade aimed at the very heart of the World Government.
