Issued to All Incoming and Returning Students of Ossirian Deep
Travel between the surface and the Academy is not ceremonial. It is structural. It is regulated. It is survivable because it is governed.
Read this in full.
All sanctioned travel to @Ossirian Deep - The Last Academy originates from Port Aurelian, the Academy’s concealed maritime district along the southern coast of Nivaris.
@Mortalkin perceive this region as a coastal mountain formation. The concealment is maintained by layered atmospheric distortion fields and resonance masking. Do not attempt to explain its absence on public maps. It is absent by design.
Port Aurelian is administered jointly by:
The Ossirian Transit Authority
The Conclave of Surface Liaisons
Nivarian Merlinist observers (cleared tier only)
The port serves three functions:
Intake of newly admitted students
Return transit following sanctioned academic breaks
Diplomatic and supply exchange with authorized magical settlements
Upperclass leisure travel is permitted within controlled parameters.
There are two sanctioned methods of reaching the Auric Hub.
Neither is casual.
Students board Academy-certified vessels at the @The Meridian Breakwater . These ships travel across the Ossirian Sea before descending along the Trenchfall Corridor to abyssal depth.
This method is mandatory for:
First-Year Intake Cohorts
MPI below 41
Students under disciplinary restriction
Conduit instability review cases
Open-Ocean Descent emphasizes structural safety over speed. Vessels are reinforced against extreme pressure gradients and mana interference. Descent is gradual and monitored through layered inspection arrays embedded along the trench wall.
Travel time: 14–18 hours depending on surface conditions.
Students are required to remain secured during final descent phase.
Vomiting in zero-pressure acclimation chambers is common. It is also survivable.
Licensed upperclass students may travel via stabilized Ambient energy corridors originating from @The Liminal Gate Basin .
These corridors are not tunnels carved through water.
They are harmonic channels formed by compressing Ambient mana into directional flow fields. Water is displaced, not pierced. Riders travel through structured current rather than through ocean.
This method is significantly faster.
Surface-to-Bloom transit time: approximately 70 minutes.
Eligibility is strictly regulated.
Mana surfing is permitted only within sanctioned pathway corridors.
Riders utilize sub-conduit boards — elongated, rune-bound platforms embedded with stabilizing cores calibrated to the rider’s Mana Core signature.
Boards are not recreational toys. They are personal transit instruments.
Each board must be:
Registered with the Conduit Registry Office
MPI-calibrated through Resonance Prism verification
Inspected annually for structural and harmonic integrity
Non-Water attuned students must wear Academy-issued abyssal rigs. These suits regulate pressure adaptation, oxygen cycling, and mana buffering.
Water-aligned students are not exempt from safety checks. Natural affinity does not override physics.
Board modifications for aesthetic flair are permitted provided they do not alter harmonic balance, current alignment fins, or stabilization arrays.
Students who attempt unsanctioned overclocking of boards will be suspended from pathway privileges for one academic term.
Or longer.
Minimum MPI for independent riding: 45.
Students between 45–60 must ride within supervised cohort waves.
Students above 60 may ride independently, pending permit approval.
Students above 75 are monitored for harmonic overextension. High-output cores may destabilize lesser boards if improperly tuned.
Null-Line and Low Channeler students (MPI below 25) are prohibited from riding under all circumstances.
This is not elitism.
This is fluid dynamics meeting metaphysics.
Pathway riding is considered a High-Risk Arcane Activity under Ossirian statute.
The following authorization is required:
If the student has living parents or legal guardians:
Both signatures required
Mana-verified identity seal attached
If the student has no legal guardians:
Three Faculty signatures required
or
One presiding Lord or Lady of Ossirian authority
Authorization must confirm:
Acknowledgment of pressure risk
Acceptance of harmonic destabilization hazards
Recognition that MPI does not guarantee survival
Permits are re-evaluated annually.
Revocation may occur if:
MPI decreases due to core trauma
Conduit instability is observed
Disciplinary status changes
Forgery of authorization seals carries expulsion and memory-binding sanctions.
All transit methods terminate outside the city perimeter.
Open-Ocean vessels align through the Trenchfall Descent Array before approaching the Hub’s docking arms.
Ambient riders exit at the Current Bloom Terminus, where pathway energy disperses into regulated water space.
From there:
Yachts are escorted by beacon drones
Riders are redirected to stabilization platforms
All students pass through identity and resonance verification
The Auric Hub is not merely a dock.
It is a customs authority, a diplomatic threshold, and a structural checkpoint between civilization and abyss.
Behavior upon arrival reflects upon your House.
Mana surfing has become a symbol of status among upperclassmen.
Understand this clearly:
The Currents are not a proving ground.
They are engineered arteries.
Flair is tolerated.
Recklessness is not.
Every year, one student believes their MPI exempts them from regulation.
Every year, the ocean disagrees.
Your MPI determines your capacity.
Your discipline determines your survival.
The ocean does not care about lineage.
The trench does not care about ego.
The pathway does not care about confidence.
Transit is a privilege granted to those who respect structure.
You are not traveling to a school.
You are entering the deepest governed space on the planet.
Conduct yourself accordingly.
