Unknown Mana Type (UMT) — Class Overview
Unknown Mana Type (UMT) — Class Overview
Title / Classification: Unknown Mana Type
Category: Dual/Hybrid Mana Class — Conduit, Natural, or Unique
Rarity: Singular / Unprecedented
Origin: Exposure to The Flamefall’s purest residual mana
Overview:
The Unknown Mana Type represents a phenomenon beyond conventional magical classification. Unlike ordinary casters, who are bound irrevocably to a single mana line, UMT users have the potential to channel and mold multiple mana lines naturally, creating abilities unseen in any documented history.
Crucially, there are no recorded instances of a true UMT ever existing. All known magical theory, lore, and academy practice assumes that dual-line or multi-line mastery requires extraordinary artifacts, conduits, or rituals. The Unknown Mana Type is purely theoretical — until now. This makes any bearer, including the main character, the first of their kind in recorded history.
🔹 Class Forms
1. Conduit UMT
Definition: Focused through a specialized conduit to amplify dual or multi-mana abilities.
Notes: Can combine multiple mana lines naturally, but historically hypothetical; no confirmed user exists.
2. Natural UMT
Definition: Draws mana directly from the body, fully internalized, no conduit required.
Notes: Entirely theoretical; textbooks discuss the possibility, but no one has ever demonstrated it.
3. Unique UMT
Definition: Singular manifestation; capabilities exceed ordinary comprehension, often reality-bending.
Notes: Purely speculative; considered “legendary anomaly” in magical academia.
All forms remain unrecorded. Any real bearer is unprecedented.
🔹 Abilities & Features
Multi-Mana Mastery: Can shape two or more mana lines simultaneously, naturally.
Superpower Manifestation: May exhibit enhanced reflexes, perception, environmental adaptation, or instinctive spellcraft.
Mana Signature Flexibility: User can potentially recalibrate or hybridize their core’s affinity — a property unknown to magic scholars.
Risk: Without historical precedent, the physical and mental limitations of a UMT are unknown; overuse could result in catastrophic failure or unpredictable consequences.
🔹 Relationship to the World
UMT individuals exist outside recorded history. Scholars, Lords, and even the King of Ossirian Deep do not acknowledge the class as real. Any true bearer is entirely unique, and their potential disrupts all known magical hierarchies.
This makes the first UMT both dangerous and invaluable: their abilities could redefine magic itself. Academies, rival Houses, and political factions may see them as a threat, a tool, or a living legend in the making.
