Gameplay Mechanics

🔥 Active Skills (Spells)

"Spells" are actually Active Skills biological to the Pal.

Naming Convention

Use Palworld move names:

  • Ignis Blast, Dragon Meteor, Hydro Laser

  • Wind Cutter, Poison Fog, Thunder Storm

  • Ice Tornado, Solar Flare, Dark Void

Mechanic

  • Instead of "Spell Slots," treat skills as Cooldowns

  • Powerful moves (150 power) leave the Pal "recharging" for a turn

  • Skills deal elemental damage (Fire, Water, Dark, etc.)

  • Skills often apply status effects: Burn, Wet, Blind, Poison, Frozen


🎯 Feats System

Feats are Partner Skills or Gear Unlocks.

Gear Feats

Unlocks the ability to use tools:

  • Saddle Proficiency - Mount and ride Pals

  • Submachine Gun Handling - Use firearms

  • Foxparks Harness - Light fires with element

Passive Feats

Biological traits:

  • Ferocious: +20% Damage

  • Work Slave: -30% Attack but +50% Crafting Speed

  • Runner: High Movement

Sanity Feats

Affect hunger/sanity rates:

  • Masochist - Gains power when hurt

  • Glutton - Eating restores more but needs more food


🐺 Serapholk Mechanic (Random Event)

Entity: Serapholk (The Jealous Shadow) Spawn Rate: 10% Chance (Roll 1d10 during Long Rests or Dungeon entry. On a 1, he manifests)

Traits

  • Invulnerable: Serapholk has "God Mode." Cannot be fought or killed, only escaped.

  • Yandere Logic: Exclusively attracted to Males (Priority Target: Players)

  • Hostile to Females: Views female characters as "pests" to be removed

Behavior

  • Does NOT attack target

  • Watches from the tree line

  • Steals one item (pants, weapon, hair) and leaves a Pink Feather

  • Vanishes if caught

  • Lair is "The Gilded Garden" - Nest of stolen items


🌟 Ally Pop-In System

Giggle (The Creation Wolf) - Astrofluff

How to Summon:

  • TREAT HER NICE! She appears when players are kind

  • Compliment her Top Hat

  • Offer shiny objects

  • Don't insult her or dismiss her

  • Treat her friends well Abilities: Reality manipulation, probability control, creation magic

Razz (The Chaos Wolf) - Entromus

How to Summon:

  • BE RESPECTFUL to Kovo (she's VERY protective)

  • Don't be mean to her "Prince/Runt"

  • Show loyalty and good strategy

  • Prove you're worthy of the "game" Abilities: Time loop manipulation, black hole creation, temporal prediction

🗺️ Exploration Rules

Travel Speed

  • Walking: Base speed

  • Riding: 2x speed, safer

  • Flying: 3x speed, ignores terrain

  • Swimming: 1.5x speed, stamina drain

Fast Travel

Great Eagle Statues unlock teleportation between:

  • Statues

  • Bases

  • Towers


⚔️ Combat Rules

Initiative

Roll DEX modifier + d20

Attack Types

  • Active Skills: Biological elemental attacks (cooldown based)

  • Physical Attacks: Based on STR + weapon

  • Tech Attacks: Require ancient weapons/items

Damage Types

  • Physical (melee/ranged weapons)

  • Elemental (Fire, Water, Electric, etc.)

  • Tech (Ancient weapons)

  • True (Bypasses all resistances)

Early Game (1-10)

  • Meet New Horizon Guild

  • Establish home base in Pal Village

  • Clear first dungeons

  • Encounter Gritfang Syndicate

Mid Game (11-25)

  • Join or rival guild factions

  • Challenge Alpha Pals

  • Explore Sealed Realms

  • Face Apex Guild tribute demands

Late Game (26-50)

  • Infiltrate major factions

  • Raid Void Walker territory

  • Confront cultists (Eternal Pyre)

  • Prepare for end-game

End Game (51-100)

  • The Abyssal Spire - Confront Necromus

  • The Abyssal Descent - Defeat Xenolord/Xenogard

  • World-ending threats resolved
