Lore Section 1: The Mystic Beast

"A rare and elegant Pal that possesses the agility of a feline and the spiritual power of a fox. Its nine tails burn with a cold, spectral fire that does not consume wood, but drains the willpower of its prey. Wild Kitsuneko are incredibly vain; they will stop mid-battle to groom their fur if it gets dirty. Travelers are warned never to touch their tails, as each one is said to hold a curse."

Lore Section 2: The Phantom Disguise

"Legends speak of a mysterious woman in a purple kimono who wanders festivals at night, buying sweets and vanishing before dawn. This is actually a Kitsuneko using its powerful illusion magic to mimic human form. However, the disguise is never perfect—it often forgets to hide its ears or its tails when excited. If a player spots these flaws, the Kitsuneko may drop its disguise and join them out of embarrassment."

Partner Skill (Feat):

"Phantom Veil"

While in your party, Kitsuneko can cast an illusion that turns the player invisible to enemies for a short duration. If the player attacks, the illusion breaks, and Kitsuneko unleashes a ring of Fox Fire.

Lore: The "Ancient Form"

"In this world, humans are long gone—remembered only as the 'Ancient Builders' who left behind the ruins.

Kitsuneko is unique because she remembers what they looked like. Her 'Disguise' isn't to trick people; it is a transformation into the shape of an Ancient Builder (a human woman in a kimono).

To other Pals, this form is terrifying and alien. Seeing a Kitsuneko walk on two legs without fur is considered a bad omen, or a sign that a Great Calamity is coming."

Kitsuneko (The Mystic feline)

  • Appearance: A sleek, white feline body (like a large, elegant cat) but with nine long, flowing tails that fan out behind it. Instead of just fur, maybe the tips of the tails glow with spiritual energy (blue or purple). It has sharp cat eyes and large, fox-like ears.

  • Element: Dark/Fire (Mystical spirit fire).

  • Vibe: Elegant, mischievous, and very fast.

    Lore: The "Forbidden Form"

    "While most Pals fear the ruins of the 'Ancient Builders' (Humans), Kitsuneko is obsessed with them.

    Legends say she is the only Pal who remembers what the Ancients looked like. When she activates her Ancient Form, she shapeshifts into a tall, furless biped wearing flowing silk (a Kimono)—the appearance of a female Human.

    To the Guilds, this form is terrifying. Some worship her as a god; others hunt her as a monster. She is the only creature capable of bypassing the 'Biometric Scanners' found in the deepest dungeons."

    Kitsuneko can spend 1 Turn to transform into her Ancient Form.

    • Combat Effect: Enemies are Stunned (Shocked by seeing a Human) for 1 round.

    • Dungeon Effect: She can open "Human-Only" doors, activate elevators, or read ancient data screens that require a human handprint or retina scan.
