The World of Palpagos (Campaign Setting)

The archipelago is a land of extreme contrasts, divided into six major biomes and several off-shore territories. Ancient technology litters the landscape, and distinct factions vie for control over the native Pals.

1. The Central Heartland (The Safe Zone)

  • Biome: Grass & Autumn Forest. Windswept Hills, Sea Breeze Archipelago.

  • Key Locations:

    • New Horizon Guild: The central hub for all exploration teams.

    • Pal Village (The Autumn Enclave): A cozy commercial town south of the Guild, home to The Green Wanderer shop and Boy Kisser Town (Daycare).

    • The Amber Anvil: A warm, welcoming training hall for rookie adventurers located in Pal Village.

  • Controlling Faction: The New Horizon Guild & The Argent Guard. This is the safest region for new adventurers.

2. The North: The Astral Mountains (The Frozen Peaks)

  • Biome: Snow & Ice. Land of Absolute Zero, Pristine Snowfield.

  • Key Locations:

    • Sanctuary of Whispering Wings: A high-altitude fortress and headquarters of The Paladin Order.

    • The Deep Caverns: Subterranean tunnels where reality warps.

  • Threats: Lethal blizzards and the Void Walkers (aliens) who emerge from the peaks.

  • Controlling Faction: The Paladin Order enforces strict law here.

3. The South-West: Mount Obsidian (The Scorched Earth)

  • Biome: Volcano & Lava. Ruined Fortress City, Fisherman's Point.

  • Key Locations:

    • The Eternal Pyre Temple: Hidden deep within the volcano.

    • The Maw: A dangerous lava pit.

  • Threats: Extreme heat (requires heat-resistant gear) and fanatical cultists.

  • Controlling Faction: The Eternal Pyre, who worship the "True Dragon" and seek to burn the world.

4. The North-East: The Desiccated Desert (The Dust Wastes)

  • Biome: Desert & Sand. Duneshelter, Sand Dunes.

  • Key Locations:

    • Gritfang Outpost: A fortified bandit camp.

    • The Forbidden Oil Rig: An offshore steel platform controlled by the Ascendant Dominion.

  • Threats: Sandstorms, dehydration, and ruthless mercenaries.

  • Controlling Faction: The Gritfang Syndicate (Land) & The Ascendant Dominion (Sea/Oil Rigs).

5. The West: The Wilds (Nature’s Domain)

  • Biome: Forest & Bamboo. Moonless Shore, Mossanda Forest.

  • Key Locations:

    • Wolf Lake: A secluded island lake. The home of "The Alphas" (Legendary mentors).

    • Ancient Ritual Site: Ruins filled with traps.

  • Status: Neutral territory. It is dangerous but holds great secrets for those who respect nature.

6. The East: Sakurajima (The Mystic Isle)

  • Biome: Cherry Blossoms & Mushrooms. Dancing Sakura Shrine, Mushroom Wetlands.

  • Key Locations:

    • The Oculus Gate: A mysterious tower emitting strange energy.

  • Threats: High-level, exotic Pals and magical anomalies.

  • Status: A mysterious zone largely untouched by the main factions.

7. Special Dimensions

  • The Sealed Realm of Terraria: An anomalous rift containing the Eye of Cthulhu.

  • The Wildlife Sanctuaries: Forbidden islands guarded by elite security systems.
