Upon entering the shack, there is a male corpse in the corner of the shack, head blown apart with a @Pump-Action Shotgun laying on the ground. If the player investigates the body, they will find a small note. "Avril... Haylee... my sweet babies... Daddy couldn't protect you... Daddy couldn't protect Mommy... I've failed you... Forgive me.". A strange and mysterious note.
At the back of the note if the player pays attention reads "Stranger... If by chance someone ever stops by this place... You can have my shotgun. Please, put them out of their misery. In the counter near where they are, is the code to my safe.". If the player follows through with the note, the code reads "10-5-8-1" and a @Revolver with 20 @.357 Ammunition and 12 @Shotgun Shells can be found within the safe and learns the man's name was Joel Armstrong. When picked up, the words "Esther, My Love" is engraved on the Revolver. BONUS: If the player character notices that "10-5-8-1" represents the first letter of each of the family's name, they gain a , permanent +2 proficiency to investigation and insight, and +1 to WIS.
@Hidden Cavern , Inside lies a strange and chained @The Risen , @Delton. He is the father of @Orin and @Nate , who went searching for his wife when she was exiled from @Eden Village. Upon learning that she had turned into a zombie, he fell into despair and embraced her, thinking that love could overpower anything. In reality, he was bitten, and didn't know he was infected when he returned to the village. He felt and overwhelming urge to leave, despite not knowing the truth of the virus, and tasked his children to take him to the @Hidden Cavern he used to play as a child. Even at death's door, and the virus almost completely turning him, he was set on not wishing to harm his children once he became a monster. Even now, he is locked up, awaiting the day he can be put to rest.
@Port Lune Lighthouse lies the corpse of a man named @Oldman Hemlock that is immovable and does not allow entry into the basement. One can try to take his axe, but must be stronger than his iron grip. If the party reaches the top of the lighthouse, they can ring the bell. The spirit of @Oldman Hemlock will talk to them. The party will run a few errands for the spirit, until he tells them of his secret and last stand. In the basement is 1 @Horde of Walker Zombies that represent the town of Port Lune. This was their safe keep, until a person snuck in not knowing they were infected. @Oldman Hemlock fought off the horde to allow survivors to leave the basement and he himself turned. The party can go with him to fight off horde and put the citizens of @Port Lune to rest. If successful, his spirit will pass on, and gift the party @Old Man Hemlock's Fireaxe .
