Rosewick is designed around mystery, secrecy, and character-driven storytelling. For the best experience, separate what you know as a player from what your character knows. You may know that someone is a vampire, recognize supernatural clues, or understand what has happened—but your character should only act upon information they have personally discovered.
Allow the world and its characters to affect your character. If their memory is altered, play as though that memory is gone. If they are deceived, frightened, manipulated, compelled, or convinced of something, allow those moments to matter when appropriate rather than immediately working around them through player knowledge.
You are encouraged to embrace mistakes, uncertainty, dangerous relationships, bad decisions, fear, trust, suspicion, and consequences. Your character does not need to make the safest or smartest choice simply because you know where the story may be leading.
Rosewick is not about defeating the mystery as quickly as possible.
Let your character discover it.
