Secondhand store

Rosewick's Secondhand Store has changed hands several times over the years, but its stock has always come primarily from the town itself. Furniture from estate sales, boxes cleared from attics, belongings from abandoned homes and objects donated by local families eventually find their way onto its crowded shelves. As a result, pieces of Rosewick's history frequently pass through the store without anyone realizing their significance.

Most objects are completely ordinary, but old photographs, letters, journals, jewelry, locked boxes and personal belongings occasionally appear among the clutter. Some may once have belonged to witches, hunters, vampires or families connected to forgotten events in Rosewick, though nothing necessarily reveals this at first glance.

The store's poor organization means even the owner does not always know exactly what is available. Objects can remain buried beneath other belongings for years before someone discovers them, while items thought to have been sold may occasionally turn up elsewhere in the building.

Witches may recognize traces of emotional or spiritual residue attached to particularly old possessions. This does not automatically make an object magical; something associated with intense grief, violence, love or death may simply carry an echo of its history.

Old furniture can also hide things previous owners never intended to leave behind—letters beneath drawers, photographs behind frames, objects sewn into upholstery or compartments nobody has opened in decades.
