The bunker

The bunker predates Rosewick's current hunters. None of them built it, and its original purpose appears entirely mundane. Old markings, faded instructions and abandoned equipment suggest it once served as an emergency or defensive facility before eventually being decommissioned and forgotten.

Hunters have used the bunker for years without forming a formal organization around it. Information is exchanged, weapons repaired, injuries treated and supernatural incidents discussed here, but cooperation remains voluntary. Arguments over whether a particular vampire, witch or other threat should actually be hunted are not unusual.

Several cabinets contain accumulated hunter knowledge: handwritten reports, newspaper clippings, photographs, maps and accounts left by hunters who passed through Rosewick. The information is valuable but unreliable. Some reports are decades old, some contradict each other, and others were written by people whose fear or prejudice influenced what they believed.

A secured storage area holds practical hunting equipment collected over the years. Access is based largely on trust; an unfamiliar hunter cannot simply arrive and help themselves. Hunters may also leave personal supplies behind for others who need them.

Parts of the bunker remain unused. Several corridors have suffered water damage or structural collapse, while old locked rooms have never been considered worth opening. They do not automatically contain supernatural secrets—but Franz may use them if a story naturally gives someone a reason to investigate the bunker itself.
