The Lake House

The Lake House has been part of Rosewick's social life for generations. Birthdays, school celebrations, summer parties, weddings and countless ordinary weekends have taken place here, leaving the lodge connected to memories across nearly every generation of the town. Because the building is communal, no single family controls who may use it.

Its relative isolation also makes the Lake House attractive after dark. Teenagers frequently gather here without supervision, while private parties sometimes continue long after most of Rosewick has gone to sleep. Vampires may blend easily into these gatherings, where alcohol, darkness and people wandering away from the group provide opportunities to feed without immediately attracting suspicion.

Rosewick Lake itself has accumulated numerous local stories. People occasionally report distant lights over the water, voices carrying from empty stretches of shoreline or movement beneath the surface at night. Most residents dismiss these stories as fog, wildlife, drunken imagination or old folklore, and there is no single established supernatural explanation behind them.

The lodge contains storage rooms, old cupboards and rarely used spaces holding objects left behind from decades of gatherings. Photographs, forgotten clothing, initials carved into wood, old guest records or personal belongings may provide unexpected connections to Rosewick's past.
