The Pantheon Part 2

Vedaudur (earth, colossal rock creature with four arms and four legs and many faces) lawful

Vedaudur is the god of earth, its domain encompassing nature. The nature god presents itself as a quadrupedal stone colossus.

Vedaudur is a gentle and caring god, enjoying and representing the peace and tranquillity of nature. It is slow to anger, however when pushed too far, Vedaudur can use its immense size and strength to crush enemies of nature. Vedaudur is generally indifferent to its fellow gods, however it has an intense feud with Naur, who has the domain of fire and represents the fury and vengeance of nature. Most druid circles venerate Vedaudur, often squabbling and fighting with druid circles that follow Naur.

Vedaudur’s realm is known as The Endless Lands. An almost infinite expanse of every type of natural biome, from forests to mountains to deserts and snowy tundras. Vedaudur has no specific location of residence, instead walking through its lands, appreciating nature.

Anagenissi: old one of air and rebirth (spring, air, healing, warlock and cleric, spindly female giant with grey skin and long white hair) chaotic good

Anagenissi is the goddess of rebirth. As an old one, Anagenissi was not thought into existence by early mortals during the Era of Song. Instead Anagenissi came from outside of space, a place known as the Infinite Sea, appearing first in Elfhame and converting a number of elves and gnomes, who became the dark elves and deep gnomes. She is a large spindly creature with grey skin and long white hair, her servants mimicking this appearance.

Anagenissi is a caring being, feeling a motherly love for mortals. She is kind and gentle, even to her enemies. Most of her followers are dark elves and deep gnomes, living in the Krygen Coalition. Missionaries are sent out to other realms however they are generally only able to gather small flocks of converts.

The other gods reluctantly accept Anagenissi’s existence, feeling that she does not deserve the mantle of godhood, as she is just a powerful entity from the Infinite Sea. None of the pantheon’s followers are directly hostile to Anagenissi’s followers, only the elves of Edhellen being violent towards them due to the schism in Elfhame.

Anagenissi’s realm is a stolen sliver of Elfhame, cut off from the rest of it, known as the Waters of Rebirth. It is a starlit realm of shallow waters. Benevolent aberrations patrol her realm, paddling through the open waters. Anagenissi herself resides below the water, in an area of deep ocean known as the Unlit Depths. Gargantuan aquatic aberrations guard her sanctum.

No one knows how her follower’s souls reach the Waters of Rebirth, as they do not flow through the River Styxx to the Underworld. Many priests hostile to Anagenissi claim that her followers become aberrations after death, to serve her willingly or not.

Lochor (water, rivers, lakes, transparent blue skinned giant with a silver facemask of a man and woman) chaotic

Lochor is the god of inland rivers and lakes, feeling a protection over fishermen and the creatures that live in watery areas. Although protective, Lochor is a chaotic trickster who loves pranks and has gained a loyal following from elves, satyrs and dryads in the Panna Forest. Lochor presents itself as a large transparent blue skinned humanoid. Dressed in silk robes and wearing a silver facemask of both a man and a woman, Lochor’s favoured weapon is a bident named Silverskew, crafted by Strid.

Lochor is at odds with Myrmidonna, the goddess of the sea, having fought with her in the Godswar for control over the oceans. When Rexen ended the Godswar, he punished the two water gods by merging their realms and forcing them to share their land, known as Watervhane. Lochor’s domain spreads over the Raging Torrents, an area of mountainous lakes and raging rivers and waterfalls, however they often spend their time managing an avatar of themselves, The Lady of the Lake, who lives in the Moir Lake in the Maccan Clandom.

The organised following of Lochor is the Order of the Lake, a knightly order in the Maccan Clandom. They were created after the sack of Lepen during the Three Sires War, when the elves of Edhellen took advantage of the chaos and sacked the city. An avatar of Lochor, The Lady of the Lake appeared and helped those fleeing the city, along the Moir Lake. Since then the order has venerated Lochor and protects the clandom’s roads along the lake and its many river paths.

Other followers of Lochor include elves, dryads and satyrs in the Panna Forest who follow her trickster aspects. A great number of Kjellanders also venerate Lochor as they often travel along the winding rivers in their longboats. Pirates of the open waters who find themselves to be religious often venerate Lochor over Myrmidonna due to her chaotic nature.

Nen  (moon and healing, dark-skinned goddess of Abhir) chaotic

Nen is the goddess of the moon and stars, having control over the night sky. Nen is the opposite of Rexen in both domain and disposition. While Rexen is aloof and lawful, Nen is humble, kind and merciful. Nen appears as a dark-skinned female, wearing blue silk robes and a transparent face veil. She is known to many as the Guider of the Night Sky, being especially worshipped by sea travellers and many in Abhir, as those travelling the deserts relied on moon and star signs to guide their wanderings. Nen was given a necklace made out of the very moons themselves by Strid that helps to protect her from harm.

Nen’s realm is called the Yondering Nights, a place of endless moonlit night, a land of vast swathes of wilderness with marble shrines and structures dotted around the landscape. Nen lives in a palace called Moonstone, a magnificent white marble structure rising high above Nen’s wilderness, brightened by the many moons and stars above it.

Drukknath (storms, grey stone humanoid with lightning beard) chaotic

Drukknath is the god of storms. A rowdy and violent god, Drukknath appears as a large grey stoned giant. He has long hair and a braided beard, made of lightning. Wielding two chained axes, Drukknath is the very embodiment of the storm, taking enjoyment from sudden bouts of violence before disappearing quickly. He often springs into Ogon’s realm to duel with him, although their relationship is amiable, both enjoying combat. Ogon has a soft spot for the giants of Old Yjelland, who initially made him their patron god and perhaps were the ones to manifest him into existence.

Drukknath’s main following consists of the giants of Old Yjelland who view him as their patron and creator deity, as well as the Bradda Tribes who emulate his ferocity. Many druids, sorcerers and barbarians who feel a link with storms and lightning also worship Drukknath.

Drukknath is the most troublesome of the pantheon, having spearheaded the chaotic gods’ forces in the Godswar.

His realm is known as Stormvyr. Much to the enjoyment of Drukknath, the land is covered in rain and lightning storms. Drukknath’s citadel is called Thyunhalda.

Mrymidonna (sea goddess) lawful

Mrymidonna is the goddess of the sea, and as such is worshipped mainly by seafarers, whether naval soldiers or traders. Myrmidonna believes in the natural order of the seas and so reviles those who take up piracy. Lochor takes advantage of this and attempts to draw many pirates into worshipping her and plundering the high seas in her name. The city of Relictus has made Myrmidonna their patron, granting them fervour in their operations against Lentasect’s piracy.

The goddess’ realm is known as Watervhane, which she reluctantly shares with Lochor as punishment from Rexen. While Lochor occupies the Raging Torrents, Myrmidonna holds court beneath the swirling waters in the Pelagic Depths.

The goddess appears as a female human wearing bronze armour and flowing robes. Wielding a trident crafted by Stid, called Shatter Sea.
