The War of Heavens

As the world was overrun with monsters sent by Gaia, the primordial had birthed monstrous titans to assault the very realms of the gods themselves.

The Titan of Night, a large humanoid with the head and wings of a black dragon, tail of a scorpion and wielding the Nightshadow Daggers, assaulted Rexen. Duelling each other, Rexen immobilised the monstrosity with chains of sunlight and cast it down to the world.

The Titan of Shards, an amorphous mass of hardened crystals which wielded the Crystal Spear, was sent to attack Ogon. The god of battles revelled in the fight, endlessly sloughing off parts of the crystal titan before severing the Crystal Spear from its grasp. Ogon then set his hordes of followers on it, tearing it apart.

The Titan of Frost, a gargantuan yeti-like creature with three arms attacked Naur. Wielding the tower shield Frostshield with one arm and pummeling its foes with its other two clawed hands. The Frostshield allowed the titan to weather the firestorms, leading Naur to flee the battle. Over time, Naur and her celestials were able to grind down the titan bit by bit, eventually finishing it off.

The Titan of Storms, a massive eagle-like creature was sent to kill Strid in his realm, rampaging its way in while Rexen was occupied with the Titan of Night. The lightning attacks of its Sparking Hammer were powerful enough to render Strid many forged items to weaken. Strid was very nearly killed however Rexen was able to save him.

The Titan of Fire, a giant with the size and intensity of a volcano, raged through Tumulus’ realm, melting the snowy landscapes with its Magman Greatsword. Tumulus was a poor physical combatant and relied on waves of blizzards, ice magic and his own forces to slow the titan down. Haudh saved Tumulus’ realm by sending legions of dead to bring the titan down.

The Titan of Blood, a bark-skinned monster with blood pouring out of its cracks, fared the worst among Gaia’s forces. Wading through the Styxx with its Bloodtooth Sword, the titan was set upon by both demons and devils. Once the titan broke through to the Underworld Haudh was ready with his insurmountable legions and quickly cast down the weakened titan, before sending aid out to his fellow gods.

The Titan of Ruin, a titan of twisted iron, decimated the biomes of Vedaudur's Endless Lands, sundering the lands with its Sabatons of Ruin. Once Vedaudur tracked the Titan down a colossal battle took place. Vedaudur, being the largest of the gods, smashed the titan to pieces.

The Titan of the Depths, a finned leviathan with colossal tentacles clutching the Whirling Trident at its tail preyed on Watervhane for the longest out of the other titans. Ambushing Lochor and Myrmidonna with lightning attacks before disappearing into the watery depths. These tactics forced the two gods to work together in order to win.

The Titan of Shadow assaulted Nen. A creature of pure darkness, with no physical form, the titan wielded the Chains of Darkness to great effect. Nen had to use the power of the stars themselves to sear the titan to nothingness.

The Titan of Brimstone, a being of fire, rock and metal, attacked Drukknath. Wielding the Flame Censor it spread noxious gases and fire in its wake. A tough battle took place, however Drukknath was victorious as he had been preparing for a second Godswar and so had a large amount of celestial forces.

Following the assaults on the various realms of the gods. Rexen had Nen divine where the titans came from. While The Ending raged on in the world, the gods discovered Gaia, and using large amounts of their power, battled her in the core of the world, imprisoning her in a deep sleep. The tide of monsters reaching the surface slowed and The Ending came to a close. The gods made a pact with each other to not directly attack each other, in case Gaia would one day wake up.

The magical weapons of the titans were cast down to the world, alongside the ruined bodies of their wielders. Overtime they would be hidden, stolen and wielded by many mortals.
