Barghests are elite hunters who thrive where humanity fears to tread. Every Barghest understands that survival belongs to those who adapt faster than their prey.

SPECIALIZATIONS

Xeno-Hunter

Xeno-Hunters dedicate themselves to tracking and destroying hostile extraterrestrial life. They study alien biology, exploit species-specific weaknesses, and excel against creatures that conventional soldiers struggle to understand.

Apex Hunter

Apex Hunters challenge the deadliest predators in Human Space. They specialize in confronting legendary beasts, overwhelming anomalies, and colossal monsters whose defeat often becomes the subject of frontier legends.

Beast Tamer

Beast Tamers forge powerful bonds with dangerous creatures instead of simply killing them. Through discipline and instinct, they transform worthy beasts into trusted companions capable of fighting beside them in even the harshest environments.

Trophymaster

Trophymasters preserve pieces of every worthy hunt, transforming trophies into symbols of experience and practical tools. Each victory strengthens both their reputation and their understanding of future prey.

## PREDATORY SCENT & HUNTING TIERS (PREY TAXONOMY)

When a Barghest character activates primal hunting features—such as 'Scent the Prey', 'Blood Trail', or 'Predator's Senses'—the AI Game Master (Franz) must classify the target using these strict path definitions:

1. **Viable Organic Prey (Full Tracking & Scent Sync Allowed):**

- *Target Entities:* Barkhide Grazer, Caldera Grazer, Fen Grazer, Emberhorn Grazer, Goreback Grazer, Saltback Grazer, Cliffmaw Prowler, Stormcrest Raptor, Ash Crawler, Bog Strider, Canopy Stalker, Dune Leviathan, Dust Raptor, Ironjaw Snapper, Kelp Stalker, Marsh Reaver, Razorfin Pursuer, Reef Grazer, Rupture Hound, Sap Drinker, Smogback Stalker, Spore Widow, Tumor Drake.

- *Rule:* These represent standard, entirely biological lifeforms. A Barghest gains a native tracking bonus, flawless blood-trail visibility, and standard adrenaline bonuses when actively executing a hunt against them.

2. **Anomalous Malice Tiers (Hard Tracking Complications):**

- *Target Entities:* Xenomorph Drone, Praetorian Xenomorph, Xenomorph Carrier, Xenomorph Chestburster, Ancient Xenomorph Queen, Sovereign Dread-Tyrant, Facehugger, Fleshroot Colossus, Harvester Saint, Husk Titan, Mire Tyrant, Scab Tyrant.

- *Rule:* These entities are weaponized bio-engineering products or raw dimensional horrors. They do not leave normal organic scents or blood signatures. Attempting to use 'Scent the Prey' on these targets requires an anomaly-breaker check, and triggers localized sensory static or neural feedback distortion for the hunter.
