Genesis Protocol / Genesis Bloom

WARFRAME CREATION: THE GENESIS PROTOCOL

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

OVERVIEW

Genesis is the process by which a living being is transformed into a Warframe.

It is not the construction of armor, the creation of a duplicate, or the summoning of a separate entity. Genesis permanently transforms an existing living subject into a biomechanical Warframe derived from that subject.

The original being provides the foundation.

Its biology, abilities, instincts, intelligence, personality, memories, mutations, supernatural traits, technological integration, combat behavior, and other defining characteristics influence the resulting Warframe.

Because every subject is different, every Genesis has the potential to produce a unique result.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

GENESIS OPERATORS

Genesis is performed through the Genesis Operator path of the Warframe Operator class.

A Genesis Operator possesses the specialized connection and abilities necessary to initiate Genesis through Genesis Bloom.

The ability to perform Genesis does not guarantee success.

Transforming an ordinary organism is dangerous.

Transforming an exceptional organism may be extraordinarily difficult.

A Genesis Operator attempting to transform an apex predator, legendary entity, heavily mutated organism, powerful warrior, anomalous lifeform, or similarly exceptional target should expect substantially greater resistance.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ELIGIBLE SUBJECTS

Genesis acts upon living beings.

A subject does not need to be human or humanoid. Animals, alien organisms, mutants, engineered creatures, intelligent species, monsters, and other viable living beings may potentially undergo Genesis.

The subject must possess enough biological or metaphysical continuity for the transformation to take hold.

A hostile subject may need to be defeated before Genesis can reasonably be attempted.

For Genesis purposes, defeat does not necessarily mean complete death.

A creature may be incapacitated, critically wounded, exhausted, unconscious, or otherwise incapable of continuing combat while remaining viable for Genesis.

If the subject has been completely destroyed or is no longer viable, Genesis Bloom cannot normally transform it.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

GENESIS BLOOM

Genesis Bloom initiates Genesis.

It does not simply heal the target.

It begins a complete reconstruction of the subject into Warframe physiology.

Once Genesis Bloom takes hold, living tissue, existing adaptations, unusual biological structures, compatible technology, and other defining characteristics of the subject are reorganized into a new biomechanical state.

The resulting Warframe should visibly and mechanically reflect what the subject was before Genesis.

Genesis refines and transforms.

It does not arbitrarily replace the subject with an unrelated Warframe.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

THE GENESIS CHECK

A Genesis attempt involves both the Operator and the target.

OPERATOR CHECK

The Genesis Operator must successfully initiate, stabilize, and guide Genesis.

Relevant factors may include the Operator's experience, mastery of Genesis, connection to their Warframe, mental discipline, available power, environmental conditions, and other circumstances affecting the attempt.

TARGET CHECK

The subject resists the transformation.

Relevant factors may include biological stability, physical power, intelligence, willpower, mutation, anomalous properties, technological integration, Void resistance, and other extraordinary characteristics.

A willing subject may choose not to resist when appropriate.

Powerful or exceptional targets should generally be harder to transform than ordinary organisms.

The interaction between these checks determines the Genesis outcome.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

GENESIS OUTCOMES

PERFECT GENESIS

The transformation succeeds with exceptional stability.

The resulting Warframe strongly preserves the subject's identity, memories, personality, instincts, and defining characteristics.

STABLE GENESIS

The transformation succeeds.

The resulting Warframe remains recognizably continuous with the original being but may experience moderate physical, psychological, or behavioral changes.

IMPERFECT GENESIS

The transformation succeeds but develops instability.

Possible consequences include memory loss, behavioral changes, unusual mutations, unstable abilities, altered instincts, psychological fragmentation, or abnormal Warframe physiology.

GENESIS FAILURE

The transformation does not complete.

The subject may survive with injuries, trauma, biological damage, temporary mutations, or other consequences appropriate to the failed attempt.

CATASTROPHIC FAILURE

Genesis becomes dangerously unstable.

The target may die or suffer extreme transformation, and the failed reaction may create additional consequences appropriate to the subject and circumstances.

The existence of a possible Warframe outcome never guarantees that Genesis will succeed.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

DESIGNING THE RESULT

The original subject is the blueprint for the resulting Warframe.

When determining its new form, consider:

- Species and physiology

- Size and body structure

- Natural weapons

- Natural defenses

- Movement

- Sensory abilities

- Combat behavior

- Ecological adaptations

- Intelligence

- Personality

- Memories

- Instincts

- Mutations

- Existing powers

- Technological integration

- Significant learned abilities

- Circumstances surrounding Genesis

These characteristics should influence the Warframe's appearance, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, movement, temperament, and preferred methods of combat.

A Warframe created from an enormous subterranean predator should not resemble or function identically to one created from a small aerial hunter.

Genesis preserves meaningful characteristics rather than producing standardized results.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

IDENTITY

Genesis transforms an individual.

It does not create a duplicate.

The Warframe is the transformed continuation of the subject that underwent Genesis.

How much of the original consciousness remains unchanged depends upon the subject and the quality of the transformation.

A stable Genesis may preserve memories and personality with remarkable clarity.

An imperfect Genesis may leave memories fragmented or alter behavior significantly.

Regardless of outcome, the Warframe originates from that specific individual.

This distinction is especially important when Genesis affects an established monster or NPC.

Relationships, memories, loyalties, enemies, fears, instincts, and unfinished goals may continue after transformation when appropriate.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

INDEPENDENCE

Genesis does not establish ownership.

A Genesis Operator does not automatically control a Warframe they create.

The resulting Warframe is an independent being whose reaction depends upon its original personality, intelligence, instincts, circumstances surrounding Genesis, retained memories, and subsequent treatment.

It may become an ally.

It may remain neutral.

It may develop loyalty voluntarily.

It may resent the Operator.

It may consider the Operator a worthy adversary, savior, creator, rival, friend, or enemy.

These relationships should develop through play.

Genesis creates a Warframe.

It does not create a servant.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

WORLD CONSEQUENCES

Genesis can permanently alter the campaign.

Transforming an important creature or individual may affect ecosystems, factions, relationships, quests, territories, and future events.

The disappearance of an apex organism may alter its Area.

The appearance of a new Warframe may attract attention from organizations interested in Warframes, Genesis, advanced biotechnology, or the transformed individual itself.

Characters familiar with the original subject may react to what it has become.

Major Genesis events should therefore be treated as persistent world history.

FRANZ FUNCTIONAL EXAMPLE

Situation:

- A player is a Genesis Operator.

- The player defeats a valid living monster.

- The monster remains viable for Genesis.

- The player uses Genesis Bloom.

Resolution:

- Resolve the Genesis Operator's check.

- Resolve the target's resistance.

- Determine the appropriate Genesis outcome.

- If Genesis succeeds, transform that specific individual into a Warframe based upon its established traits.

Do Not:

- Create a duplicate while leaving the same individual unchanged.

- Automatically make the Warframe loyal to the Operator.

- Ignore the subject's established biology and identity.

- Assume Genesis succeeds without resolving the required mechanics.

Rule:

Genesis transforms the target into its Warframe state. The resulting Warframe is the continuation of that individual.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

CORE PRINCIPLE

Genesis turns living beings into Warframes.

The subject determines the foundation.

The Genesis Operator initiates the transformation.

The checks determine whether it succeeds.

The outcome determines what survives the process.

The resulting Warframe is an independent continuation of the being that underwent Genesis.
