THE GENESIS ORDER
Classification: Restricted Legacy Order
Primary Sanctuary: Genesis Vault
Affiliation: Tenno-aligned; independent
OVERVIEW
The Genesis Order is a secretive organization dedicated to studying, protecting, and controlling knowledge of Genesis: the process through which a viable living being can be permanently transformed into a unique Warframe.
Genesis is not conventional Warframe manufacturing. It is transformation.
A successful Genesis preserves the candidate while translating aspects of its biology, adaptations, instincts, memories, abilities, temperament, identity, and unusual traits into a new Warframe state.
The Order does not exist to mass-produce Warframes. It safeguards Genesis knowledge, studies viable candidates, protects those affected by Genesis, records completed transformations, and prevents the process from becoming an uncontrolled weapon.
THE GENESIS PRINCIPLE
Genesis operates on individuals, not species.
No creature possesses a universal predetermined Genesis result simply because another member of its species underwent Genesis.
Every candidate has unique biology, experience, injuries, adaptations, instincts, personality, relationships, mutations, cybernetics, and metaphysical characteristics.
Candidate → Genesis → Warframe
The resulting Warframe is the transformed continuation of that individual, not a copy, summon, replacement, or duplicate.
The candidate and its resulting Warframe therefore do not normally coexist. Successful Genesis means the candidate has become the Warframe.
THE GENESIS VAULT
Hidden beneath Sanctuary, the Genesis Vault serves as the protected center of the Order.
It contains Genesis Forges, genetic archives, biomechanical cultivation systems, neural synchronization chambers, Void-resonance laboratories, Orokin relics, stabilization facilities, transformation records, and containment systems.
The Vault is laboratory, archive, hospital, and sanctuary—not a production line.
Access is restricted to trusted personnel whose work directly concerns Genesis.
GENESIS OPERATORS
Genesis Operators are Warframe Operators capable of deliberately initiating Genesis through Genesis Bloom.
Warframe Operator eligibility requires a true soul and conscience. Species alone does not determine eligibility.
Genesis depends upon the Operator, candidate, biological compatibility, technology, Void influence, environmental conditions, and circumstances surrounding the attempt.
Neither Operator nor candidate guarantees success.
A Genesis Operator may attempt transformation whenever a viable candidate and appropriate conditions are present.
The Order strongly opposes uncontrolled experimentation and the treatment of candidates as disposable materials.
GENESIS CANDIDATES
A Genesis candidate is any living individual that satisfies the current viability requirements of the Genesis Protocol.
Candidacy does not guarantee transformation.
Candidates may be willing or unwilling. They may be ordinary organisms, engineered beings, powerful predators, mutants, cybernetic lifeforms, anomalous entities, or other viable beings.
Exceptional power does not automatically prevent Genesis. More powerful or unusual beings may simply possess greater resistance.
The Order evaluates candidates individually.
Species reputation alone is never sufficient evidence of compatibility.
GENESIS BLOOM
Genesis Bloom allows a capable Genesis Operator to initiate transformation when necessary conditions have been satisfied.
Using Genesis Bloom does not guarantee success.
Both Operator and target participate in the resolution of the attempt according to the current Genesis Protocol and Genesis Resolution Matrix.
A successful Genesis permanently transforms the target.
A failed Genesis leaves the target untransformed unless another consequence changes its state.
RESULTING WARFRAMES
A successful Genesis creates a unique Warframe derived from the specific individual transformed.
The result should translate meaningful elements such as:
- Biology
- Natural abilities
- Anatomy
- Adaptations
- Combat behavior
- Personality
- Memories
- Instincts
- Significant physical traits
- Mutations
- Cybernetics
- Supernatural characteristics
- Technological characteristics
- Circumstances surrounding Genesis
The transformation must remain recognizable as an evolution of the candidate rather than an unrelated creation.
Two members of the same species may produce radically different results.
Genesis does not operate through species templates.
IDENTITY CONTINUITY
The resulting Warframe remains the transformed individual.
Memory and personality continuity depend upon the quality of the Genesis outcome.
Some may remember almost everything.
Others may experience fragmented memories, altered instincts, personality changes, instability, or damaged identity continuity.
Existing relationships may survive.
Promises, loyalties, grudges, affection, territorial instincts, cultural identity, fears, and goals can continue after Genesis if preserved by the transformation.
Genesis does not automatically erase who someone was.
INDEPENDENCE
Genesis does not establish ownership.
A resulting Warframe does not automatically obey the Genesis Operator, Genesis Order, Tenno, or any other faction.
Its attitude depends upon its previous personality, previous relationship with the Operator, willingness or resistance, surviving memories, transformation quality, treatment afterward, and later events.
The transformed individual may become an ally, companion, independent actor, rival, resentful survivor, or enemy.
Creation and loyalty are separate matters.
FAILURE
Genesis is dangerous and success is never automatic.
Failure may cause injury, rejection, biological trauma, mutation, Void contamination, psychological damage, Operator exhaustion, environmental consequences, or death depending upon the result.
A failed attempt does not create a Warframe unless the actual resolution produces successful Genesis.
A surviving candidate may potentially undergo another attempt later if it remains viable and current mechanics allow it.
GENESIS RECORDS
The Order maintains detailed records of Genesis attempts.
Records may include:
- Operator
- Candidate
- Location
- Candidate condition
- Willingness or resistance
- Relevant preparation
- Genesis outcome
- Resulting transformation
- Retained memories and traits
- Instability
- Relationships
- Biological changes
- Environmental consequences
- Subsequent history
Completed Genesis events become permanent campaign history.
The Order treats every transformation as its own case.
Previous transformations may provide scientific knowledge, but they do not establish formulas for future candidates.
PERSISTENT EXISTENCE
Before successful Genesis:
Candidate — Active
After successful Genesis:
Candidate — Transformed
Resulting Warframe — Active
Do not later treat the pre-Genesis form and post-Genesis form as two separate living individuals.
The transformation is a state change affecting one continuous being.
If the transformed individual later develops new relationships, affiliations, enemies, possessions, or history, those changes belong to the same persistent character.
RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TENNO
The Genesis Order maintains close ties with the Tenno because of their expertise with Warframes, Transference, Operators, and Void phenomena.
The Order does not replace the Tenno, and Genesis capability is not exclusively Tenno.
Any being meeting the requirements for Warframe Operator synchronization—including possession of a true soul and conscience—may potentially become a Genesis Operator.
The Order serves as custodian of Genesis knowledge rather than owner of every Operator or transformed being connected to it.
CORE DOCTRINE
The Genesis Order follows four fundamental principles:
Genesis transforms individuals, not species.
Every successful transformation produces a unique result derived from that individual.
Successful Genesis permanently changes campaign history.
The resulting Warframe continues the identity and legacy of the transformed individual according to the quality of the transformation.
The Genesis Order exists to safeguard what Genesis can do—and those whose lives are permanently changed by it.
