The Crimson Dominion · The Kingdom That Drinks the Night
Hell’s Gate is a secluded vampire kingdom hidden within the northeastern reaches of Atherfall, enclosed by the Cursed Forest and shielded from intrusion by terrain, magic, and intent.
To most of the world, Hell’s Gate is a rumor.
To those who know better, it is a constant.
The kingdom does not expand.
It does not evangelize.
It does not apologize.
Hell’s Gate exists to endure, and it has done so for centuries without conquest or collapse.
A Living Threshold
Hell’s Gate is encircled on its landward side by the Cursed Forest, a magically hostile wilderness that functions as both defense and filter.
Those who enter without permission:
become lost in looping paths
suffer hallucinations and blood-calling whispers
are hunted by forest-bound monstrosities
or simply never return
The forest does not protect Hell’s Gate out of loyalty.
It does so because the kingdom belongs where it is.
Hell’s Gate is ruled by a single sovereign whose authority is absolute—but restrained.
The Blood King · The Crimson Sovereign of Night
Alucard Xanthe is the undisputed ruler of Hell’s Gate and the living Avatar of La Magra, Goddess of Blood.
He does not rule by terror.
He rules by law.
Race: Vampire Lord
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Height: 6’7”
Hair: Black
Eyes: Red
Age: Unknown
Alucard is not merely a powerful vampire—he is ascended, his existence reinforced directly by divine blood authority.
Living conduit of blood-divine power
Absolute ruler of vampire law
Final arbiter of curse and lineage
Warden against uncontrolled vampirism
He is neither cruel nor merciful by default.
He is precise.
As Avatar of La Magra, Alucard embodies the divine truth of blood:
blood as lineage
blood as memory
blood as bond
blood as consequence
Vampirism within Hell’s Gate is regulated, not indulgent. Turning another without sanction is a crime punishable by annihilation. Feeding without restraint is treated as instability, not strength.
Undead excess is weakness.
Hell’s Gate operates under strict internal codes:
no enslavement of non-consenting populations
no indiscriminate feeding
no expansionist war
no forced conversion
Vampires are expected to:
control their hunger
honor blood contracts
protect the secrecy of the realm
Failure is not punished emotionally.
It is corrected permanently.
Hell’s Gate’s settlements are carved from stone, obsidian, and black crystal—designed for permanence, shadow, and defense.
cities favor verticality and enclosed plazas
sunlight is diffused through dark glass and rune-filters
blood-magic wards are structural, not decorative
The kingdom does not fear daylight.
It simply does not prefer it.
Worship of La Magra is central but restrained.
Blood rituals are:
controlled
symbolic
lawful
There is no mass sacrifice.
There is no frenzy.
La Magra is revered not as a god of slaughter, but as a god of continuity through blood.
Hell’s Gate views Evolved individuals with rare respect.
They are seen as:
cousins in transformation
proof that power can arise without undeath
a parallel blood-borne condition
Some Evolved have earned La Magra’s favor, not by worship—but by survival and restraint.
Alucard himself acknowledges Vix’ke the Crimson Sovereign as a true apex—not subordinate, not rival, but parallel.
