The Spirit Bones are the bones which are left following the death of a Spirit Beast. The chances of a Spirit Beast dropping the Spirit Bones are extremely rare. Generally speaking, the lower the cultivation of a Spirit Beast, the lower the probability of producing a Spirit Bone. But the possibility of dropping a Spirit Bone does increase if the Spirit Beast feels huge amount of resentment before getting killed, dies willingly or if the Spirit Beast are grateful for their death.
The number of 100-year spirit bones was the least; 10-year soul bones didn’t exist at all. Relatively speaking, there were more 1,000-year spirit bones and 10,000-year spirit bones. But 100,000-year soul bones were extremely rare because 100,000-year spirit beasts were too few.

So, having a spirit bone is a comprehensive enhancement to the body. Unlike the spirit rings, spirit bones will not disappear because of the death of a spirit master and will remain. As long as they are not destroyed, they will be preserved forever.
A spirit master can have 6 Spirit Bones on 6 parts of the body, which cannot be overlapped. With an external spirit bone, it allows a spirit master to have more than 6 spirit bones. Also, having a complete set of 6 basic spirit bones will allow the body to undergo a qualitative change. According to their importance, they are as followings:

The torso bone is the connection between the six spirit bones, and it is also the core. A good torso bone can almost determine the direction in which a spirit master will fuse with the spirit bones in the future. More importantly, the torso bone has the largest influence on the body, and it has a very good nourishing and strengthening effect on all the internal organs. So, even if a spirit master only has the chance to fuse with one spirit bone, the torso bone will have the greatest effect on the physical qualities.
