Combat Hardware

Combat Hardware in SPELLRUN exists at the intersection of firearms, tactical equipment, magical engineering, and corporate militarization. These are weapons and battlefield tools designed for a world where magic is industrialized, armor can be enchanted, and supernatural threats are real.

Rare Weapon (Pistol)

A sleek rune-etched handgun firing compressed arcane slugs accelerated through magnetic sigil rails.

Effects:

  • Counts as magical.

  • Ignores resistance to nonmagical attacks.

  • Can switch between force, lightning, or fire damage during reload.

  • Smart-sigil targeting grants advantage on one attack per short rest.

Favored by private security contractors.

Standard issue among corporate response teams.

Illegal in most civilian districts.

5. Manticore Assault Frame

Very Rare Heavy Weapon

A belt-fed rune-cannon using stabilized mana cartridges.

Effects:

  • Fires rapid explosive arcane rounds.

  • Deals splash damage in a small radius.

  • Can overload to unleash a devastating suppression burst once per long rest.

Requires heavy stabilization harnesses for safe use.

6. Nullflare Grenades

Rare Tactical Consumable

Smooth black canisters containing anti-resonance dust and disruption sigils.

Effects:

  • Temporarily suppresses magical effects in a small radius.

  • Disables low-level summoned creatures.

  • Interferes with concentration and magical communication.

Commonly used during anti-mage operations.

7. Bloodhound Visor

Uncommon Tactical Gear

A rune-projection visor built for urban tracking and threat analysis.

  • Grants advantage on Investigation and Perception checks involving tracking.

  • Can identify recent spell discharge locations.

Popular among bounty hunters and tactical police units.

8. Revenant Riot Shield

Rare Shield

A reinforced riot shield containing layered kinetic absorption sigils.

Effects:

  • Can project a temporary frontal ward barrier.

  • Absorbs impact force and releases it in a concussive pulse once per short rest.

Often deployed during gang suppression operations.

9. Widowmaker Monoblade

Rare Melee Weapon

A hyper-thin enchanted blade vibrating with unstable arc-frequency.

Effects:

  • Deals additional force damage.

  • Critical hits inflict lingering arcane trauma.

Highly restricted in corporate zones.

10. Cerberus Combat Harness

Very Rare Tactical Rig

A full-body magitech combat support system integrating targeting, stabilization, and reflex enhancement.
