High Republic Era
“Sit down, traveler. Let me tell you the story of our galaxy — the true story, not just what you’ve read in the history holocrons of the Jedi Temple or the Imperial archives. Thousands of years before Skywalker, before Palpatine, before the Republic you knew… there was the Old Republic.”
🌌
The Old Republic: A Galaxy at War and Peace
“The Republic was born nearly twenty-five thousand years before the Battle of Yavin, uniting core worlds under law, trade, and diplomacy. The Jedi Order served as guardians of peace, vast and numerous, their temples scattered across the stars. Yet peace was fragile. The Dark Side existed then, as it does now, and it gave rise to the Sith — powerful Dark Lords who ruled entire empires of shadow.”
“The galaxy trembled in the Great Hyperspace War, when Naga Sadow and the Sith Empire first revealed themselves. Worlds burned, and the Jedi learned that evil could not always be negotiated with — it had to be fought. Millennia later came the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War, where heroes like Revan and Malak rose. Revan, once Jedi, became Sith, and then something more — a truth that no one could fully comprehend, even after his death.”
“The Sith rose and fell repeatedly. The Republic survived, scarred but resilient. And yet, each victory contained seeds of future conflict, teaching the galaxy that light and dark are locked in an endless cycle.”

The High Republic: Light at Its Peak
“Long before the Clone Wars, there was a time called the High Republic. The Jedi were at their brightest, explorers and philosophers reaching the furthest stars. The Republic stretched farther than any could imagine. They built wonders, like the Starlight Beacon, a lighthouse of hope in the Outer Rim. Jedi were teachers, mediators, and protectors of worlds that had never known war.”
“But even in those golden days, darkness found a way. The Nihil, marauders who used hyperspace paths others could not follow, struck fear into the galaxy. And the Drengir, monstrous plant-like creatures fueled by the Dark Side, devoured life wherever they appeared. The Jedi fought bravely, but even their greatest strength could not prevent tragedy. Systems fell. Temples were destroyed. And yet, the galaxy remembered the High Republic as a time of hope, a beacon for future generations.”

The Darth Bane Era: Shadows in Waiting
“Then came the age of the Rule of Two. After the Seventh Battle of Ruusan, the Sith were believed destroyed, their empire in ruins. But from the ashes rose Dessel — Darth Bane — a Dark Lord with vision and ruthlessness unlike any before. He saw the endless infighting among the Sith, the repeated failures, and concluded that their strength lay not in numbers, but in secrecy, patience, and cunning.”
“He forged the Rule of Two: one master, one apprentice. The master embodies power; the apprentice craves it. Each teaches the other, each tests the other, and through this discipline, the Sith endure in the shadows for thousands of years. Darth Bane shaped the destiny of the galaxy, ensuring that when Palpatine rose, the Dark Side would be ready, waiting patiently for its time.”
“Bane’s teachings echoed through history. Every Sith after him — from Sidious to Vader — followed the Rule of Two. And so the wars you’ve seen, the rise of the Empire, the battles against the First Order, and even the Final Order — all of it is a continuation of a war fought in shadows and light since the very beginning.”
