Feraxis – Jungle Crown of the Shadow Collective

In the shadow of the trees, fortune and ruin walk hand in hand."

Feraxis is a lush tropical world where the untamed wilds meet the iron grip of crime. Vast jungles stretch across the planet’s surface, broken only by winding rivers, sparkling seas, and scattered pirate coves along the coasts. The humid air carries the sounds of alien birds, insect swarms, and distant machinery, blending the natural with the illicit. While the Shadow Collective claims the world as its own, much of Feraxis is still uncharted wilderness—ripe for smugglers, mercenaries, and treasure seekers.

The jewel of Feraxis is Tarson’s Cove, a sprawling tropical city where syndicate wealth, mercenary muscle, and black market fortunes converge. Yet beyond the city walls, Feraxis is far from tame—pirate hideouts, mercenary fortresses, and even rogue settlements thrive in the planet’s dense jungles, living under the Collective’s gaze but often bending the rules.

Geography and Society

Feraxis is a world of extremes—dense jungles, raging storms, and sweltering heat. Towering emerald trees form canopies so thick they blot out the sun, while vines, moss, and alien fungi blanket every surface. Wildlife ranges from vibrant avian species to colossal reptilian predators, making exploration perilous.

The population is a mix of Saurids, humans, and countless off-worlders who’ve come seeking fortune or refuge under the Collective’s banner. Crime families, mercenary guilds, and smugglers hold sway, but the Shadow Collective maintains tight control through brutal enforcement. Unlike Torsa Prime, where syndicate families openly feud, Feraxis is a model of enforced order—chaos is permitted only in the wilds.

Notable Locations on Feraxis

  • Tarson’s Cove – The capital and largest settlement of Feraxis, dominated by steel skyscrapers and sprawling criminal districts. The Cove is the beating heart of the Shadow Collective’s operations here, where order is enforced with ruthless precision.

  • Durley’s Rig – A massive, long-abandoned oil platform in the middle of the Arelian Sea, converted into a fortified pirate base for the infamous Blackstar Marauders. Built from rusting steel and scavenged starship wreckage, its towering cranes now serve as watchtowers and weapons platforms.

  • The Jade Chasm – A colossal canyon hidden deep within the jungles, its walls coated in glowing green mineral veins. Legend claims the Chasm holds ancient ruins predating the Saurids, but today it is used by smugglers as a hidden airship and starship dock, concealed beneath its lush overgrowth.

  • The Red Mire – A vast, swampy expanse of blood-red water and thick mangroves. Dangerous predators lurk in its depths, but so do abandoned ships, sunken treasure, and the hidden laboratories of illicit chemists who brew some of the galaxy’s most addictive drugs.

  • The Broken Spire – The shattered remains of an ancient starship that crashed millennia ago, its massive hull now overgrown by jungle vines and alien flora. The Collective has converted part of it into a clandestine arms depot and meeting ground for crime lords, its interior lit by bioluminescent fungus.

Tarson’s Cove – The Capital

"A city built on steel, sweat, and shadows."

Tarson’s Cove is a massive tropical city, its steel towers jutting above emerald jungle canopies and coastal waters. Its architecture is a mix of salvaged ship hulls, prefabricated durasteel structures, and syndicate opulence—ornate palaces and neon-lit casinos rising side by side with seedy bars and mercenary fortresses. With a permanent population of 8.6 million and a transient crowd nearly double during trade seasons, Tarson’s Cove is always alive with movement and danger.

Though ruled by chaos at a glance, the Collective runs the Cove with strict efficiency. Smugglers and syndicate enforcers keep the peace in their districts, while mercenary guilds offer protection for a price. For outsiders, the city is both a land of opportunity and a trap of vice—where fortunes are made or lost in a single deal.

Notable Locations in Tarson’s Cove

  • Yanto’s Palace – A grand estate of white darksteel trimmed with jade and gold, home to Yanto Salenovo, Kingpin of the Salenovo family. The palace is a symbol of power, heavily guarded and filled with luxury beyond imagination.

  • Amco Armaments Fortress – Headquarters of Amco Armaments, one of the most feared mercenary guilds in the galaxy. The skyscraper fortress is a mix of barracks, armories, and training halls, its walls bristling with turrets and shield generators.

  • Feraxis Spaceport – A sprawling hub of salvaged starship hulls and metallic platforms, serving as the planet’s lifeline to the galaxy. Dozens of ships come and go daily, carrying smugglers, mercenaries, and travelers both legal and illicit.

  • Black Market District – A maze of narrow alleys where anything can be bought—guns, ammo, narcotics, relics, slaves, and stolen technology. Deals are made in hushed tones under dim neon lights, with every stall guarded by its own syndicate thugs.

  • The Silver Fang Arena – A brutal fighting pit where mercenaries, slaves, and beasts are pitted against each other for entertainment. Gambling on fights is one of the city’s biggest draws, with spectators ranging from poor gamblers to crime lords in luxury balconies.

Feraxis embodies the dual face of the Shadow Collective: untamed wilderness where crime thrives unchecked, and an iron-fisted capital where order is imposed at all costs. Together, it stands as a beacon of power, vice, and opportunity within the Collective’s dominion.
