Ten years ago, a research expedition vessel chartered from a European university drifted into the island’s cursed loop. These five men were the surviving security and logistics crew. They didn't just adapt to the Senna; they became the pillars of Lucas Priestley's enforcement, bringing a cold, disciplined efficiency to the makeshift prison. They are inseparable, bound by a década of shared trauma and a newfound, zealot-like devotion to the "Fire God."
Volcanic Glass Pauldron (Shoulder Guard): A single, heavy plate of jagged obsidian lashed to the dominant shoulder with cured leather. This serves as both armor and a rank insignia, marking them as the "unfit-tamers." The glass catches the light of the volcano, making them appear almost ethereal in the dark.
The Warden's Tether: A 10-foot coil of reinforced rope made from twisted greenhouse fibers and thin, salvaged copper wiring from their sunken ship. It is used for transporting prisoners or temporarily binding those not yet in shackles.
Serrated Bone Baton: A heavy, weighted club made from the femur of a large island predator, with obsidian shards embedded along the striking surface. It is designed to be a non-lethal deterrent that causes immense pain without the need for a blade.
Signal Whistle (Carved Horn): Each guard carries a whistle carved from a sea-bird's bone. Each man has a unique pitch, allowing them to communicate across the prison perimeter or signal an "Escape in Progress" back to the Senna settlement.
Cured Hide Tabard: A rugged vest made from the thickest boar hides found on Bush Island, dyed a deep charcoal grey using volcanic ash. The back of the tabard is marked with the "Fire God's Eye"—a circular symbol that reminds prisoners who is always watching.
