@Fire Island & @Bush Island
The Twin Islands are a pair of contrasting landmasses locked in a geographic stalemate. Though they appear as distinct worlds—one a volatile volcanic peaks and the other a rugged, overgrown wilderness—they are bound together by the treacherous waters that separate them. The distance between the two is roughly equivalent to a four-hour walk, yet that span of ocean is far more formidable than it appears.
The ocean surrounding these islands is notoriously unstable, characterized by unpredictable currents and violent swells that defy standard navigation. These waters act as a natural prison; no matter which direction a traveler sails, the sea itself seems to warp and loop. Any attempt to venture into the open horizon inevitably results in being pulled back toward the shores of either Fire Island or Bush Island. This phenomenon leaves inhabitants and explorers alike trapped within the immediate vicinity of the twins, with no hope of escape to the world beyond.
