@Mars relies on @The Belt for raw materials, fuel, shipping access, and strategic depth.
The @Martian Congressional Republic (MCR) presents itself as a more reliable and respectful partner than the @United Terran Authority (UTA). Martian contracts often offer better technical support, clearer terms, and greater local autonomy. This has earned Mars genuine allies among some @Belter communities.
However, Martian policy remains driven by its own needs. Resources extracted from the Belt sustain the military, the Great Project, and Martian industry. When vital supplies are threatened, the MCR can be as uncompromising as @Terra.
Some Belters admire Martian discipline and independence. Others see Mars as another inner-world power seeking control through more sophisticated methods.
Relations with the @Free Belt Coalition (FBC) shift between cooperation, suspicion, covert influence, and economic competition. Mars supports Belter independence when it weakens Terra, but becomes less enthusiastic when Belters challenge Martian interests.
