Prophecy

Prophecy is a very rare and extremely unreliable practice. There are both Major and Minor prophecies.

Prophecy Accuracy: Most prophecies are incorrect, but may have a nugget of truth to them. Usually a prophecy is considered reliable if all of the highest-order Diviners unanimously agree on its reliability. Each high-order Diviner has an innate ability they can use once in their entire life to confirm the validity of a prophecy. Diviners usually save this ability to use on a Major Prophecy to confirm a threat or course of action.

Minor Prophecy: A minor prophecy can be something small and less relevant. It is often less cryptic than a major prophecy and references an event to come sometime within the next week, month, or year.

Major Prophecy: Major prophecies are extremely rare and reference large-scale events. Such prophecies are extremely dangerous to have, and often shatter the mind of the one who has it, leaving them a shell of what they were before.

Prophecy Interpretation: Prophecies can be hard to interpret, since they often include both true and false information, along with hidden symbolism and meaning based on the context and person who gave them. Because of this, only those trained in Divination can really hope to understand what a prophecy means or if it is at all reliable.
