This faction represents the collective body of professors, senior researchers, and high-achieving fifth-year students within the Academy itself.
Goals: Focus on pure, unapplied magical knowledge; uphold academic tradition; and influence the curriculum and resources of the Academy. They often argue that teaching should be prioritized over Conclave enforcement.
Ideology: Knowledge above all else. They often clash with certain safety requirements from the Conclave.
Internal Clashes: The Collective is highly fragmented based on the Seven Schools (e.g., the Evocation masters demanding more combat funding, the Divination scholars demanding more scrying resources).
Player Hook: Students aiming for a prestigious Master’s Degree must impress members of the Scholarly Collective, who act as judges, examiners, and research supervisors. The most powerful member is usually a Master Professor or Headmaster.
