Year 2

Year II: The Crucible Year (The 'Wards')

• Focus: Applied Magic and Cross-Disciplinary Study. Students begin to interact with all six Schools of Magic through introductory courses, learning the strengths and weaknesses of each. Practical fieldwork and defensive spellcasting are emphasized.

• Core Courses: Basic Abjuration, Introduction to Divination, Minor Conjuration and Illusions, Evocation 1, Fieldwork and Artifact Identification.

• Goal: To identify the Schools of Magic that best align with the student’s innate talent and intellectual interest. At the end of Year II, students must formally declare their primary (Major) and secondary (Minor) School of Focus for the remainder of their time.
