Othuca

Othuca, or the Othucan Kingdom, is a struggling nation in decline It operates as a elective feudal monarchy, with King Brynwold from House Tarkin as the current sovereign. The King is elected by a council of nobles from the 5 Houses after the death of the previous one. However, because of how this system is set up and because the King has absolute power over the nation, come the time to elect a new sovereign and tensions between the Houses can become incredibly strained. Many will vote for their members in their own houses or will vote for someone from another house that will heavily support them. This has caused Othuca's politics to become divided in loyalties, with a civil war between House Tarkin, House Shepham, and House Ramder against House Paragen and House Dark. This civil war has consumed mostly the central and northern parts of the nation, with House Dark seemingly looking to move to Grimone and establish a new kingdom in rebellion against the crown. Not only this, but the Zarith Empire from the east is looking to establish themselves in Belldeep by entering through Othuca, with extremely clear intensions of dominating all of the Belldeep Coast under one Empire. Historically, the Othuca has been a predominately a naval power that dominates the Belldeep Sea, where it often was caught in conflict with Thuletor seeking to conquer the same land. Like Thuletorian Empire, Othuca has previously dominated and colonized Vurndraak and its people, exploiting the island's natural resources. Unlike Thuletor and Vurndraak, Othuca's industrialization has been slow to uptake. Othuca still relies on seaships to project its hard and soft power and has only a single fleet of airships in comparison to Thuletor and Vurndraak.
