Recorded Transcript from an early encounter with the Apostle entity.
Inmate-284: 'Command? I've got...some uh, I'm looking at a really weird room right now.'
Forward Base 2 Command: '284, describe the situation.'
284: 'It's a pretty large room. Like a central area to a mall or something, just without anything that would make it a mall. No shops, decorations, nothing. Just bare concrete. Uh, it's moving weird in my vision, like...shifting or something.'
Command: 'Roger that 284. Proceed with caution.'
(Inmate-284 enters the large room. Camera footage shows parts of the space twisting into abstract geometry, resulting in Inmate-284 losing his balence and falling.
284: 'Oh, oh shit!' (He falls on the floor dizzy.) Ugh, god. The fuck even is this?!'
Unknown voice: '...Fred...Galilanii...'
(The geometric and spacial anomalies then cease after the unknown voice speaks.)
284: 'What the? Command?' You say something?'
Command: 'Negative, Inmate-284. What's your situation?'
284: 'I...thought I heard someone say my name aloud. (Inmate-284 picks himself up on his feet.) Uh...everything just stoped being...weird. You getting this?'
Command: 'Affirmative.'
284: "Good, cause I'm feel like I'm being watched. Like, something old and powerful is...watching me or something.'
(Inmate-284 continues walking in the space for 14 minutes before reaching a very large room. He stops himself halfway before entering the room proper, as he can see the Apostle at the far end of the room in the corner of his eye. He freezes in place, watching the Apostle indirectly. It stands watching him, its body vibrating violently in place, glitching within a small radius as if it is failing to remain fully anchored in reality.)
284: 'What...in the?'
(Inmate-284 then observes the Apostle directly, causing it to disappear.)
283: 'Woah! Ugh, the fuck was that? Command? Command?'
(Communications with Forward Base 2 Command fail to register with Inmate-284's hardware, making it impossible to receive, but he was still able to transmit.)
(A minute after the Apostle disappears, it reappears in a loud, distorted scream. Footage from the camera becomes covered in a rapidly shifting and glitching black lines, resembling tangled wires spreading across the screen. Uncovered parts of the footage show the Apostle in its hunting phase, rapidly glitching across reality as it chases after Inmate-284, who is now running in the direct opposite direction. Camera footage cuts in and out at random points. Low, distorted eldritch screams from the Apostle at the times the footage works, with it becoming closer to Inmate-284)
(The footage ends with the camera falling to the ground, facing away from Inmate-284's death. Flashing lights of red fill the room. Inmate-284's screams can be heard, but are low, distorted, and glitchy. A sudden wet slash and crack are heard, followed by a something wet and heavy hitting the ground. All previous noise now silences.)
The Apostle: 'We can see you, hiding in that base, all the way on the surface. We see you through the screen. We can hear you. Given time, you too will be like us...rotting corpses standing before eternity...Praise the Endless.'
(Camera footage cuts out.)
The Apostle is one of the most dangerous anomalies in the Deepwell facility. It stands approximately 18 meters tall. Its body is not composed of flesh, bone, or recognizable matter. Instead, it is formed from thousands of perfectly aligned black filaments, resembling wires, veins, or strands of dark energy. These strands form an impossibly symmetrical structure, as though its anatomy was mathematically engineered rather than grown.
Most of its height consists of elongated limbs:
Four primary arms extending far below its knees
Two impossibly long legs
Three branch-like appendages emerging from the upper back
Its torso is unnaturally narrow, almost nonexistent, as if the creature only exists to support its limbs.
Despite the fragility suggested by its thin structure, the entity stands with perfect posture and deliberate confidence, like a monumental statue.
Its head is a jagged inverted triangle, thin and sharp like a blade of black glass.
At the center of the triangular face is a single white point of light.
This point behaves like an eye.
When the entity becomes hostile, the white point fractures into twelve glowing red eyes, arranged in a circular pattern.
In its neutral state, the Null Apostle remains completely stationary.
However, its body vibrates violently in place, glitching within a small radius as if it is failing to remain fully anchored in reality.
Characteristics of this state:
It silently watches nearby individuals
Its white eye slowly tracks movement
Occasionally it performs small gestures, such as slowly waving one of its elongated arms
The gesture is disturbingly human.
It does not pursue players during this state.
Authority personnel describe the experience as being examined by something ancient and curious.
Direct observation or approach triggers one of two outcomes.
The probability appears random.
The entity becomes violently hostile.
The single white eye splits into twelve red eyes
The creature’s glitching intensifies
Its limbs stretch unnaturally as it begins moving
The Apostle begins pursuing the triggering player.
During pursuit:
Reality Displacement
The entity may disappear for several seconds, reappearing closer to the target.
Environmental Destruction
Despite its thin form, the creature will tear through walls, machinery, and structural supports with no resistance.
Acoustic Event
A continuous low-frequency scream fills the environment.
The sound resembles a distorted choir screaming through deep water.
Visual Corruption
Black lines appear in the player’s vision, resembling:
cracks in reality
broken film frames
tangled wires spreading across their sight
The entity kills instantly upon contact. The victim is always picked up with anomalous powers and rapidly becomes filled with black alien wires similar to what the Apostle is made out of. The wires fill and burst out of the body in sprays of blood and black rot. The victim is killed instantly or transformed into a still living mass of black organic wires, acting as a node of anomalous powers that distort reality further. The Apostle will demanifest afterward.
Any players who witness the death will hear a voice in their mind.
The voice is calm and reverent.
It says only:
“Praise the Endless.”
Instead of attacking, the Apostle abruptly disappears. No motion is observed. It simply ceases to exist. Immediately afterward, the observing player experiences:
Sudden Blindness: Vision fades to black for several seconds.
Internal Audio Event: A loud heartbeat begins echoing inside their skull. The heartbeat continues for approximately 10 seconds. Some subjects report the heartbeat does not match their own pulse.
Areas where the entity stands often develop:
non-Euclidean corridors
overlapping rooms
spatial echoes
These distortions can persist long after the entity disappears.
Personnel who repeatedly encounter the Apostle begin experiencing:
dreams of black cathedrals
visions of endless corridors filled with kneeling figures
a recurring phrase:
“The Endless spirals out from below.”
Several Authority researchers have proposed a disturbing theory:
The entity may be a messenger or priest of something vastly larger, referred to in recovered anomaly transcripts as The Endless. The Apostle’s behavior suggests it may be creating anomaly nodes for further destablization of baseline reality. Why some are killed and others spared remains unknown.
The Apostle works best as a rare, terrifying encounter.
Recommended usage:
Appears silently in massive chambers
Observes the party from a distance
Creates tension as players decide whether to approach
The moment the eye fractures into red eyes should feel like a cosmic death sentence.
