Note: House Meridian members are fully fluent in Italian. The language is used deliberately, not nostalgically.
House Meridian maintains its own internal cant derived from old-world Italian, Reach Common, and pre-Fracture criminal finance terminology. This slang is not ornamental. It is functional—used to convey intent, status, warning, and judgment without explicit statements.
Italian is spoken fluently among blood members and senior inducted associates, often switching mid-sentence. Outsiders hearing Italian should assume the conversation is not meant for them.

“The table remembers.”
“Your chips are still in play.”
“We’re not at the final hand.”
“This stays inside the House.”
“Don’t make the dice heavy.”
These phrases often replace threats entirely.
House Meridian slang is intentionally subtle. Members avoid profanity, raised voices, or explicit threats. Meaning is carried through implication and shared understanding. Speaking plainly about violence or punishment is considered gauche and unnecessary.
“If they explain it to you, you’re already late.”
Hearing House Meridian slang indicates:
You are being assessed
A decision has already been made
Or you are closer to danger than you realize
Understanding it does not grant safety.
Using it incorrectly often removes it.
