@Abby Elenoit is a boisterous Arena Mage who hails from a royal family of off-world gamblers. She accompanied her family to the Grand Arena at a young age and was captivated by the physical power and performance on display. She found her calling not in the chaotic thrill of competition, but in the rigorous physical training that the Grand Arena demands. She left her royal heritage behind and threw herself into strengthening her body. Her physical prowess is now impressive enough that she serves as a personal sparring partner to the current Grand Champion, Marjon. Unknown to most she has recently begun to study her family's magics once again, hoping they will be the surprise edge she need to make her own serious contender bid for the Grand Championship.
@Akali is a rebellious and fierce performer. She was trained in the ways of the ninja from a young age, and like many others found herself on this world through a wild-magic portal. In the Grand Arena she found her true calling on the stage, blending her deadly skills with her passion for music and dance. She seeks to express her true self and inspire others to do the same. @Gathel Marden is impressed with her skill and often tries to recruit her to join @The War Choir and perform in the staged battles of the Grand Arena, but she doesn't want to conform to a battle-script. Her self-expression is best valued in the dance-halls of @Resort Boulevard .
@Ann Cherry , a Scav native to the ruins of the world, stumbled upon an ancient text detailing the lives of the Three Sisters of Silverpine. Inspired by their stories and teachings, she embraced their faith, dedicating herself to the lessons. The ghostly spirits of Three Sisters, leaders of a dangerous cult in an ancient era, responded to the sudden worship by blessing Ann with the magic and skill of the first Paladin of the Three Sisters. She now leads a newly reformed Cult of the Three Sisters, spreading their gospel to her fellow Scavs and hoping to build more Paladins for her new Order. She built a modest temple on the edge of the@Immortal Cliffs. She is currently out of the range of the Grand Arena's sentry-drones, but her recent gatherings have caused some interest from @Quest.
@Barger grew up in the Grand Arena, born and raised in the pitfights he is a gnarled and toughened survior of the lowest circles. He was never a serious Grand Chamion contendor but his War Hammer fighting style is still spoken about with reverence. An old man in a world where many natives die young, he is respected by almost all arena combatants. Now retired from fighting he spends his time helping younger fighters. He assists with training locals and up and commers, but is also a reliable talent scout for the mid-teir arenas. He is the most reliable person of interest for players to find things to do in the Grand Arena.
@Bera Minilton grew up in the city-slums surrounding The Grand Arena, always fascinated by the spectacle and the controlled chaos of the fights. He showed an early aptitude for understanding complex rules and a natural charisma that endeared him to others. His charismatic charm and a bit of luck gave him the opportunity to enter the Grand Arena. While not a fighter himself, he possessed a keen intellect and a quick wit, which he honed by studying the various contests and their outcomes. Making a meager living as a gambler. He saw the role of a ringmaster not just as an announcer, but as a storyteller and a guardian of the arena's integrity, a path he eagerly pursued. In a relatively short amount of time he has become a favored ringmaster at @Seventh Circle Arena .
@Bert Troutman A capitalist shark who climbed his way from meager beginnings to become wealthy enough to buy his way to the highest stakes, leading him to find his way to the Grand Arena. Here he obsesses over the no-limit betting that runs the Grand Arena. He is calculating and when he makes a gamble he puts large amounts of his fortune on the line. He is one of the few high-rollers that maintains a constant(As opposed to seasonal) private viewing box in the Second Circle Arena, as well as a permanent residence in the High-Roller Suites.
@Bigwig is one of the few ratfolk who make their way "above ground" in the Grand Arena. Most Ratfolk spend their lives maintaining the Grand Arena's service tunnels. Bigwig is an inspiration for most of his kind being a popular arena performer and high ranking member of @The War Choir. Although he takes pride in his muscular physique, he spends most of his free time reading any book he can get his hands on. His ability to find rare books hints at his connection with underground smugglers and the secret 'ratfolk trade'.
@Broom is one of the oldest magical objects on this world, and is the oldest sentient magical object. Although it cannot speak it does make a specific song when it is sweeping in contentment. Broom survived several calamaties on this world and spent thousands of years sweeping inside a dark cave. Re-Discovered when the Grand Leader was excavating for her new Palace, the Broom is a valued staff member in the Grand Palace, and keeps the jeweled floors clean. Although it has memories of the Grand Sundering and the world that existed before, it has no way of effectively communicating these to others.
@CART-17 , self-designated “Messinglaufer,” was constructed over a century ago by an artificer whose name exists only in fragmented internal records. Designed as a mapping assistant, the construct was meant to survey terrain, record routes, and produce precise cartographic data. However, shortly after its activation, its creator died unexpectedly, leaving the construct without guidance or maintenance. With its primary directive intact but lacking further instruction, Messinglaufer continued its function independently. Over time, mechanical degradation forced it to adapt, seeking repairs and components wherever possible. This led it to the House of Portals, where Mu provided a friend. Here, it refined its purpose—not just mapping land, but mapping opportunity, tracking where parts, materials, and knowledge might be found. Decades have passed, and though its systems are worn, it continues. Any and all Maps of the current world were created by CART-17, and any areas that do not have maps are areas CART-17 have not been. CART-17 is currently preparing for a mapping journey into @Hillbadon .
@Carver Lloyd is one of the few Scavs that trade openly with Durnmagon. Scavs avoid and run from the massive beasts pf the world, but Carver seeks to hunt them down for profit or trophy. (Helping Carver with his first hunt will add 10% monetary reward for any future beast hunt. Carver is also the only other person who will pay for monster parts with flex, although he does not have enough flex to purchase more than 1 part at a time)
@Casper a friendly spirit who fell in love with a living. In his haste he possessed a human and found himself trapped. He continues his observation over @Kathleen 'Cat' Harvey but has not built enough courage to speak with her. He watches her almost constantly from a distance or around corners. He rarely eats or sleeps so almost always looks sleep-deprived and malnourished. He does not know that the body he now possesses is the one of Kathleen's most promising suitor.
@Cherize Soutan known as 'Cher' to her husband @Hubbard 'Hub' Soutan, has been frequently asked by the Grand Leader to provide consultation for her "Lunar Flower" project. These sessions leads Cher to know of @Cheza and it is through her actions that initially allow Cheza to escape. (Through the course of Cheza's Quest; The Path to Paradise, Cherize and Hub will be following the group and be behind by 1 or 2 days. If the party doubles back and meets up with the pair, they will join the party and do everything in their power to make sure the Wolves get to Paradise, even if it means giving up their lives)
@Cheza (See Hidden Lore) Cheza was recently activated from a long artificial slumber. She is skittish and will tend to shy away from anyone who does not smell like flowers or canines.
@Durn is generally lighthearted and somewhat goofy, often preferring to avoid conflict and responsibility. He deeply cares for his twin-sister, @Magon and trusts her judgment implicitly. However, when pushed or when Magon is threatened, a fierce and determined side emerges. He is moments older than his sister but will act like the "younger sibling". Durn's strength and skill as a fighter was what Magon used to unite the slum towns. These twin's actions in uniting the slums brought the Grand Leader to a negotiating table where she offered them each promising positions in the Grand Arena. Positions they turned down to negotiate a better living for all people living in the slums. Due to the Grand Leader being impressed with Magon's strategy and Durn's prowess she accepted the terms. Durn is recognized as a hero of all those who live in the Slums.
