War Choir bouts are non-lethal fights between two groups of actors/reenactors. They stage a retelling of a popular or historic battle with members of the War Choir acting on both sides. Newer members are typically cast as the "Losing" side and are expected to take a dramatic dive, unconsciousness for most or all of the losing side is expected. The main exception of the losing side being played by new members is that the most elite War Choir members are in charge of puppeting of The Grand Dragon during the Main Event retelling of 'The Villiagers and the Dragon.' A battle where a scrappy group of villagers fought off a ferocious dragon.
The War Choir builds and maintains several automatons that serve as foes in recreated battles, one of the more popular is the Petrified Clockwork Tiger, which is used as a trial for War Choir members wishing to move into the spotlight of the "Winning" Side. Veteran members of The War Choir begin to take rolls of the heroes or the winning side of large battles. Being popular with the crowd is the main focus of individual War Choir members.
The War Choir also attracts builders and inventors who wish to create and test clockwork or other magical constructs in a staged battle. Some of the lower circle spectators favor when a few Dire Bears are allowed to tear up a Gnomes carefully constructed clockwork soldiers.
