At the lowest reaches of the Grand Scar exists the Darkfall Abyss, a dark crag where only the impossible exists. The mythological monster in Darkfall Abyss is the Impossible. It is best if even the strongest parties run from the Impossible. Defeating the Impossible is improbable unless through something as powerful as the Wish spell. Through a small stream of water trickles to a path leading down. Down. Down.
Through the Darkfall Abyss lies The World Core. The center of power for the planet and the generator of heat for the realms. Currently the defeated remains of Lavos lie here, continuing to absorb energy and consume the planet. The Lavos Remains must be destroyed if this planet aims to survive or improve. Even in its corpse-like state Lavos Remains are formidably powerful and will take more than a torch and some fuel to destroy them. Destroying the Lavos Remains will drop the Lavos Core, a powerful engine component.
Lavos Remains! Highest Difficulty! Once Schala hears the party has defeated a mythological monster she will ask the party if they want to save the world by destroying the remains of Lavos, who was defeated long ago. The Lavos Remains continue to feed on the world's energy.
-Escape the Grand Arena.- Leaving the Grand Arena to the west takes navigating through vicious patrol bots or finding a hidden path in the Water Temple.
-Descending into the Grand Scar.- This massive scar through the world stretch's out across the western landscape from the Grand Arena. Descending steep cliffs and jagged canyon paths is not for the faint of heart.
-The Darkfall Abyss.- The deepst and darkest edge of the Grand Scar has no natural light. A narrow path leads down to The World Core, where Lavos Remains. The Darkfall Abyss is home to the impossible, which any sane party should run from if seen.
-The World Core.- The Lavos Remains are a CR30 Undead Lavos. Destroying the remains will allow the world to recover life force. Over time the wastelands of the world will begin to furnish new growth and new life.
-Return to Schala.- Upon returning to Schala she rewards the party with her Staff and Pendent. Completing her purpose, Schala dissolves into time, finally able to be with her family and rest.
