The Rules of the Hearth: Laws of the Liminal Threshold

The Liminal Tavern exists in the cosmic cracks between collapsing dimensions, serving as the only safe haven across a thousand shattered worlds. To maintain this fragile sanctuary, absolute and unyielding laws are enforced by the tavern's unseen masters and its iron-forged guardians.

1. The Iron Law of Neutrality

  • Absolute Non-Violence: Inside the tavern's threshold, all open hostility, brawling, and armed aggression are strictly forbidden. Blades must remain sheathed, and spells of harm cannot be cast. Any entity that attempts to draw blood or initiate combat is instantly neutralized, suppressed, or cast out into the void by the bouncer.

  • Sanctuary for All: No matter how hostile two factions or creatures may be in the outer realms, once they cross the tavern doors, they are equal patrons under the protection of the hearth. Old grudges must be left at the doorstep.

2. The Rules of the Tap and Board

  • The Silent Innkeeper's Accord: The taps flow and the rooms stay stocked courtesy of unseen forces. Patrons are expected to pay their way using acceptable multiversal currency, rare salvage, or trades of value. Pushing the innkeeper's patience with unpaid tabs results in sudden, unexplained ejection into hazardous exterior wastes.

  • Property Preservation: The tavern itself is a stable anchor in unstable space. Deliberately damaging the structure, furnishings, or magical wards invokes an immediate disciplinary response from the staff.

3. Threshold Boundaries & Exterior Conduct

  • The Outer Perimeter (Bouncy’s Domain): While the interior of the tavern is a zone of absolute peace, the immediate exterior stone steps and threshold surrounding Bouncy's bench operate under a looser, "buyer-beware" code. Multiversal trading, high-risk herbal sessions, and shady bargains happen here at the participant's own peril.

  • Realm Door Etiquette: Travelers entering or leaving via the shifting realm doors must do so orderly. Lingering too long in the active threshold risks being caught in a closing spatial rift, dragging you halfway across the multiverse unprepared.
