Overview

The Frontier Roads are the lifelines of the realm—threadbare veins pulsing between civilization and wilderness. Stretching from the north-eastern gate of @DaggerfallCity toward the distant shadows of the @Umberwood, they twist through rolling grasslands, ruined shrines, and the skeletons of half-abandoned farms. What was once a week’s ride of open road has become a corridor of fear, where the wind carries the smell of iron and old ash.

Merchants still risk the journey, guarded by hired blades or guild caravans, and guided by the ever-watchful @CrowbellMessengers whose network keeps trade barely alive. Every mile marker tells a story carved in haste—missing names, burned crests, or prayers to the fading sun.

Points of Interest

⚙️ The Old Mileposts
Weather-worn stone markers etched with ancient forge symbols, repurposed by @GrusksGuildAndForge to measure safe travel zones. When the posts begin to crack and ooze sap, travelers turn back.

🏚️ The Broken Shrines
Dozens of roadside chapels now lie in ruin, each dedicated to saints of the harvest or the forge. The @DawnbreakPact occasionally stations acolytes here to bless caravans, but most are overrun by moss and silence. Pilgrims whisper that at dusk, the icons weep amber tears.

🏡 The Hollow Farms
Abandoned homesteads reclaimed by creeping vines. Some still show signs of life—freshly split wood, smoke from unseen fires. Bandits, undead, or enthralled farmers could be waiting inside. Looted pantries often hold jars of @LysandraKettlemire’s honey or @Copperpot’s tinctures, proof the guild once traded here.

🕯️ Watchtower Ruins
Once part of the Bulwark line, now half-collapsed. Crows nest in the rafters and mimic human voices. @Rilka often uses these towers as rally points for patrols; her initials are carved into several parapets.

📯 Crowbell Relay Stones
Flat circular monoliths engraved with hollow-core bells that hum when a courier approaches. Damaged relays ring blood-red light instead of sound—a sign that the @BloodMoonShade has corrupted the line.
