5April 24, 2026 | The Translocation Event (0800 - 0814 EST)

The morning of the event is terrifyingly ordinary right up until the moment reality tears open.

  • 08:00 EST: The stock market opens. Morning rush hour is in full effect in New York, D.C., and Los Angeles. Military bases from Fort Bragg to Camp Pendleton are conducting standard morning drills.

  • 08:12 EST: A sudden, absolute silence falls over the continent. The low-frequency hum that had been vibrating for weeks abruptly stops. For exactly two minutes, every compass needle in North America spins wildly before locking dead center onto a new, alien magnetic north.

  • 08:14 EST: The sky flashes with an intense, blinding violet light. There is no explosion, only a deafening, concussive crack of displaced air that shatters windows from Maine to Mexico.

  • The Sub-Atomic Slice: The continent is severed from Earth with surgical precision. The "Filter" effect activates instantly. Any foreign diplomat, tourist, or non-native corporate asset currently standing on U.S. soil simply ceases to exist on the continent, left perfectly intact in the empty ocean crater back on Earth. Conversely, every piece of U.S. military hardware, infrastructure, and native citizen is pulled through the rift.

  • The Arrival (0 A.T.): The violent displacement of the North American landmass dropping into Axalon's central ocean displaces millions of tons of seawater. Massive tidal waves crash against the coasts of the Maritime Kings and the Nudanni Kingdom.

In an instant, the sky turns an unfamiliar, slightly greenish hue. GPS systems fail entirely as they search for satellites that are no longer there. Power grids flicker and stabilize under the new atmospheric pressure. The United States, Canada, and Mexico are now stranded in a world of magic, steel, and ancient empires.
