Overview

By the year 2580, faster-than-light travel has transformed the Milky Way into an interconnected, though still unimaginably vast, civilization. Worlds once separated by decades or centuries of conventional travel can now be reached in hours, days, or weeks through the use of specialized FTL drives and carefully mapped hyperspace corridors known as lanes.

Despite these advancements, the galaxy remains enormous. Distance still shapes politics, economics, and warfare, and even the fastest ships cannot simply appear anywhere they choose.


FTL Drives

Every interstellar vessel relies on an FTL drive, an immensely complex engine capable of propelling a ship beyond conventional space and into designated transit corridors.

The quality of an FTL drive greatly influences:
