Rumors range from a classified Federation task force to rogue intelligence operatives, but one fact remains undeniable: they are hostile to everyone. Scientists in unmarked chemical suits operate alongside heavily armed soldiers clad in featureless combat armor, supported by MAG-40 Greyhounds, combat robots, and automated defenses. They fire without warning and leave no survivors to ask questions. Although their equipment is unmistakably of Federation origin, reports claim that even lost Federation Marines have vanished after entering the Zone, fueling fears that whoever commands the quarantine answers to no conventional authority.
