To prevent a catastrophic public explosion of rage that would shatter the floating pearl-stone spires, the High Legalists created a state-sanctioned pressure valve.
The Traditions: For 24 hours once a year, all legal restrictions on emotion are completely lifted. The Concord deploys massive, temporary Glass-Shedding Spheres throughout the streets. Citizens lock themselves inside these soundproof, magically insulated pods and spend the day screaming, weeping, smashing furniture, and unleashing their deepest rage in total safety.
The Landscape Shift: The energy inside the spheres is so intense that the air condenses into a physical, grey sludge called Repression Ash. At midnight, the Syllable Guard sweeps the ash into the deep roots, and the city walls instantly snap back into perfect, rigid alignment, completely refreshed for the year ahead.
