The Lore: This is the most sacred holiday of the Pale Court, held to mark the anniversary of The Shattered Heart—the day The Bleeding Queen, Melisandre, lost her lover and her heart hardened into ice.
The Traditions: The entire city of Lacrima goes pitch-black. All starlight lanterns are snuffed out, leaving only the natural nebulae in the sky. The Queen steps onto the Terrace of Reminiscence, and her metallic silver tears flow so heavily that they drip directly into the lake below.
The Landscape Shift: As her tears hit the smooth, mirror-like water, the entire lake flashes a brilliant, pulsing violet. For one hour, the Forgotten Vault glows from beneath the waves, allowing citizens to peer down into the black ink-water and temporarily see the faces of every person or concept that has ever been legally erased from history.
