  1. The Realm of Three Promises

The Three Cosmic Laws

The continent's entire physical existence is anchored to the strict preservation of the original text of those three spoken contracts. If any of these promises are broken, the continental code fractures, causing localized reality crashes where the terrain dissolves back into the Unwrought Wilds.

  • The Law of Hospitality: This promise gave birth to the Gilded Veracity and the white-cobblestone Whispering Tollroads. It dictates that spatial barriers cannot completely block a traveler. If a person is willing to pay a fair price (measured in memories, emotions, or secrets), the terrain must physically warp to open a hidden door, safe mountain pass, or secret valley to let them through.

  • The Law of Harvest: This promise governed the biological and emotional ecosystem of the Weeping Meadows. Because the continent was forbidden from shedding traditional mortal blood, the earth adapted to bleed hyper-reactive flora. Crops and trees draw sustenance directly from human emotion: joy sprouts playful, bouncing grasslands, while deep heartbreak causes trees to bloom with rich, sweet wines distilled from the earth's response to sorrow.

  • The Law of Truce: To prevent the fiery passions of the Summer King from destroying the chilly introspection of the Winter Sovereign, the Grand Arbiter spoke the final vow. It locked the continent into a permanent, regional split. The left half was frozen in a vibrant 10:00 AM spring morning, the right half was plunged into a starlit 2:00 AM autumn midnight, and the center became a razor-thin rift known as The Twilight Split, where day and night stand face-to-face but can never touch.
