They possess the chaotic, hyper-reactive emotional instability of pure Pixies, but the grounded permanence of mortal Elves. They are viewed as genetic anomalies and an "environmental risk" by the high nobility.
Social Traditions:
The Dual-Naming Ritual: Because pure Pixies are flighty and constantly forget who they are, the Twig-Born carry two distinct names to anchor themselves to reality. They have a hidden, highly secure "Root-Name" (their True Name, which they never speak aloud) to maintain their sanity, and a daily, shifting "Breeze-Name" (an alias) which they change constantly to keep the Syllable Guard from tracking them down.
Linguistic Sabotage: They form the backbone of the revolutionary Court of the Shattered Mirror. Because they cannot control their volatile emotions to pass the city's aura-scanners, they fight back through "linguistic terrorism"—deliberately painting riddles, hyperboles, and legal paradoxes onto elven spires to trick the automated stone Literalist constructs into going haywire and attacking the nobility.
